The final bell had rung. The victor standing tall as the ref left the ring allowing photographers clear, precise pics. On the opposite camera side in the crowd sat the Japanese import to XWA, Ryen Thorne. Moderately impressed he stands from his seat and claps, thus drawing attention to himself as photographers turn their attention to him instead of the celebration in the ring. Within moments one of the interviewers is ringside, prepared for what will be an "off air" segment, streamed online via the XWA website. I'm here with XWA's newest signee, direct from overseas, Ryen Thorne. Ryen, why did you choose to compete here in XWA?Why not? Why anywhere else? I go where the competition is, and currently, that is here. Competition who talk to much, glorify themselves as over the top characters and gather ego, much like momentum in a match. Each win, adding to their ego's. Though just like in a wrestling match, all it takes is one move, and it's lights out.Is that some way for you to state a challenge to anyone in particular? Or are you just following the debuting star curriculum. Everyone who has been new here started the same way. What makes you any different? What makes anyone here exceptional? Honestly, the giants can be slayed, the curtain jerkers can get upsets and the so called legends, can be humiliated. We are all on the same level, the same page. Nobody excels more then the next in everything. Each of us has an ability that is better then someone else. We are all balanced, equals! I'll beat the unbeatable, submit the untappable and bleed the gods of this organization. When all is said and done, wins and losses mean nothing though. If I learned nothing, nor met a challenge I could not overturn, then all is for not.Wow, your some philosophical guy. Is that an act, or is it...It's no act. When you compete in Japan, you learn from the culture, you learn from your surroundings. Each day there is a lesson to be learned. I learned every lesson I could there, and now, I come to teach those less fortunate and bring the Japanese Hardstyle to America, to branch out and capture the same techniques they use here, to become the ultimate fighter, and champion.Anyone you want to face first? Anyone at all? Now is the time to make your challenge.I'll take on anyone, anytime, anywhere, and in any match type they choose. I am educated in all forms of your stipulation matches, and your gimmick add ons. So if it is Genesis in a cage, so be it. If it is O'Dell in a last man standing, I welcome it. If I'm given Evan Fate & Jon Payne in a tag team match, I welcome the Neverlution and I will encompass it and fire it right back to where it came from. That being said, I choose no side, I fear no challenge. I'm not far, nor hard to find. When the challenger comes to me, I will accept and defeat them. There you have it folks, Ryen Thorne! The Japanese proclaimed him "The New Age Punisher" and he is here in XWA to compete. Thank you for your time Ryen.Your quite welcome. I await my first challenge. The interviewer turns to the camera to sign off, and when he turns back to shake his hand, Ryen is gone already.

-Backstage Romeo meets up with Ryen after his speech down in the stands.- Bro. Come here me out real quick. I gotta say that I liked what you said out there man. It seems as if you know what you’re doing out there. It’s true what you said about everyone here able to be beaten. It may have sounded like cockiness to others but to me bro, it sounded like someone who is confident. Me I’m a confident guy too…well now I am. There is no way that makes me cocky. I know that I can back up what I say in the ring. The names Romeo Davis. What’s good?

Romeo Davis huh, name sounds familiar. Yeah, what I said out there, is the truth. Anyone can lose on any given day, it's just a matter of making sure everyday, isn't your day.He grabs a bottle of water from a catering table, opens it up and takes a big drink of it *gulp* Ahhh! That hit's the spot. But yeah, I'm new to this, American wrestling you got here. Don't get me wrong, I was born in Calgary, but raised in South Carolina, I'm not some Japanese import. I just honed my craft and rounded my skills overseas before coming back home to test those skills against the best of the best. Which is why I'm here, not only because of that, but alot of former Japanese trained wrestlers are here, who I had to live in the shadow of being compared to. So it's my time to put them back in the shadows of which I stood. He finishes the water, tossing the botle into a box with the rest of the empties What are you doing in XWA? What are your goals and reasons to be here?

-Romeo nods after the first thing Ryen had said.- Very true. That day won’t be yours unless you let it be.-Romeo then listens to everything else Ryen said to him. Ryen then mentioned him wrestling in Japan again. He also said that he wrestled over there for a while and wanted to wrestle out here in the states.- Japan man! That’s cool. Me I didn’t technically wrestle over there but I trained over in Rome for ‘bout a year man. Most grueling year of my life ya know. Stuff over there is just crazy. I bet it was the same for you over in Japan. Wrestling is like a culture over there.-Romeo then pauses for a second before answering Ryen’s last question.- What am I doing in the XWA? Ha. I’m here to wrestle man. I’ve been training since I was ten and now it’s time to put it to the test. I had a chance to join a business after I graduated from college but I backed down man. I hated myself for doing it, but I didn’t think the time was right and I didn’t think I was ready for the big times. That’s when I went to Rome for the year. So now that I’m here I’m ready to go. Yo, the time is right right now. My goals you ask, for me to just do my thing in the ring and be recognized as a top competitor here. Rookie year is always the time to show what ya got and I plan on doing that. Obviously there are titles that are involved that I’d like to go after. My main focus though is to basically do my thing and not to let anyone bring me down. So, I said my part, what’s your goals bro?

The only goal I have, is to make a bigger name for myself then anyone else. Whether it's due to holding a title longer then anyone in the companies history, beating the so called "legends and unbeatables" or accomplishing the feat of going undefeated. Whatever puts my name in the record books over everyone else, will be a goal achieved. He smiles as he pictures it And, if by doing that, I become the most respected competitor of all, along the way. Then so be it. I just know, I've got an arsenal of moves, so great, so impact full, and innovative, that everyone will struggle to find a way to beat me.

-Romeo nods his head.- That my man is a good goal to go by. It would be nice to be recognized around here by something like that. You have your mind in the right place. A lot of confidence can bring you a long way but a little too much can hurt ya. But I believe that you’ll be one of them well known superstars when the time comes. But as you want to be one of the best, as do I. I’ll do what it takes to make it to the top even if it means starting from the bottom of the roster, which I prolly am now, up the ladder to the top. It’s a long road, but hell, it can be done if ya do the right things.-Romeo stops speaking for a moment. He then looks around and sees a sign for March Madness. It was going to be the first big show in the XWA for the 2008 season. He then brings his attention back to Ryen.- March Madness man. That’s a great place to start off to start taking those steps up the ladder. Who you thinking of challenging for a match?
