Up In Smoke by The Holly Springs Disaster plays over the PA system and the crowd looks around, wondering who this could possibly be. The morons, how could they be so damn naive to the best thing to happen to wrestling since the suplex? He simply shrugs off their ignorance though, strangely enough, pitying the stupid. Lucas steps out onto the stage and the crowd attacks him with jeers, boos, hisses and the like. Even the true hardcore Lucas fans aren't cheering tonight, and he loves it. He slides into the ring, wearing a pair of jeans and a black dress shirt half buttoned up. He waits for the crowd to give him a moment to speak as he removes a mic from his pocket.

If we all just remember that when this little microphone comes out, you all shut your traps, then we'll make a lot of progress here people. You all need to learn a lesson in respect and if you're unwilling to be taught, then you'll be forced to understand. I stand here, a smirking failure.[/b][/font]

Lucas lowers the mic as he notices that the crowd has dropped silent at his last words. Perfect.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this with joy. But I'm saying it with honesty. I lost last weak, I got bested. But on the same token, I'm better then most in admitting thats it wasn't a fluke. What it was, was a free pass. Yes its true, Lucas Styles can hold back. But what I CAN'T do, is sit here and be comfortable with a loss from the Marilyn Manson wannabe back stage. If I hadn't have let me contain myself, he would be picking his teeth up off the ground. They would be trying to bleach his blood out of the mat. Those may be woulds, but I'll be DAMNED if they aren't WILLS now. Evan...our business, is no where near finished.[/b][/font]

Now completely livid, Lucas grasps the top rope closest to the stage, shouting at Evan to come and get him.

The ever charismatic Evan Fate enters the arena. With mic in tow, he responds to Lucas.

Luke. Buddy. Pal. Friend. What happened to you??? You used to be the king of all wiseasses. I mean, there wasn't a oneliner you wouldn't drop. Now look at you? Hangin' out with Juli-less Caesar and King Leonidas has got you actin' like 'em to. All stiff and brooding. Dude, Not a good look. But I'll tell you what was a good look. The look on your face last week when I damn near knocked the wind out of you with that Phoenix Splash. BAM!!! That was priceless. But I'll give you some cred, comin' out here and admitting you got beat is something very few would do. My question is will you be so honest if...no...WHEN it happens again? The answer, I have no idea. But how about we find out here tonight. One on one.

As the fans cheer on, Evan waits to hear what Lucas had in response.

Your optimism is such a farce that I think you just made me chuckle Evan. You truly expect to beat me again? You beat me once and as I said, I haven't even started to let loose what I'm actually capable of. Tonight, you won't be facing Lucas Styles...you'll be facing your worst damn nightmare. Because when I'm going full throttle, theres no stopping me. No fancy catch lines, no pretty attires and no piss poor ring skills.[/b][/font]

Well, I don't exactly have many witty catch phrases. But I do agree with the fancy ring gear part. I mean c'mon, can ya' blame me for having such wicked taste in apparel?

Evan looks in to the stands and gives a Mel Brooks style shrug.

But I'm glad I just heard you say what you did. About you not being at the best of what you can do last week. That means that you won't be half assing it like last week either. This time, there are NO excuses. For everything that you've said. For all the hype that this match up's gotten since it almost happened in Atlanta, up until this night, I'd be INSULTED if I didn't get you at your best. And you better bet you fashionably trendy haircut that your BEST is gettin' put to the test.

Evan await his next response.

A sickly smile hits Lucas' face at these words. It wouldn't be the first of XWA's, but if it goes in his favour, it could be one of the most drastic. Lucas runs his fingers through his hair in thought.

With you're mention of me betting this haircut, I've been struck with a thought. This match does have its hype already and while I'll be quite satisfied by simply demolishing you in the ring, but it couldn't hurt to humiliate you too. I'm more then willing to put this hair on the line Evan, but I think yours might be getting a little to long. How about we make this match hair vs. hair. So the loser will not only have the loss, but they...YOU'LL have the memory of getting your ass kicked by me follow you wherever you go. That is...if you're not to much of a chicken shit Evan?[/b][/font]

The crowd's cheering rises.

Lucas waves his hands to Evan in a "bring it on" fashion, egging him on from the ring.

That's where you're wrong, my friend. My brutha from anutha mutha Mr. Jon Payne might be "The Momentum Killer", but you can call me Mr. Momentum. I don't just ride it. I hop in, strap in and drive it like I STOLE it. And you just so happen to be in the the middle of the road.

With that, Evan's music hits the PA. The stage was set for a battle that would at the very least leave either young man changed from how they entered it, if just physically. They exchange glares as the fans cheer on what was sure to be a memorable contest between two men who were no strangers matches with such high stakes.
