The crowd in the Gampel Pavilion were patiently waiting for whatever to happen next. As they were waiting, "Headstrong" began to play throughout the arena. The crowd rose to their feet and began cheering as they now knew who this person was. It wasn't as loud as if like someone like Jon Payne or XXL were to step out on stage but it was loud enough for Kris Sayint. After a few seconds into the second, Kris pushed the black curtain aside and emerged onstage to hear the crowd and their natural act of cheering. He was sporting a white Nike t-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. He stepped out to the middle and pointed straight up to to the ceiling letting his parents know that he is doing this for them. He then began his walk down to the ring taunting for the fans as they continued to cheer for him. Last week was a great match for him but this week would be different because he already knew who he wanted to face. After walking down th ramp taunting, he slid into the ring and mounted the turnbuckle nearest to him. Again he pointed to the ceiling to his parents that watched him from above. He then hopped down off the turnbuckle and made his way over to one of he staff members who handed him a microphone. He walked to the center of the ring and lifted the microphone to his lips.
"What's up Storrs, Connecticut?"
The crowd let out a huge pop as Kris adjusted the microphone in front of his lips.
"So last week I had pinned "the" Bryan Jasta for the 1, 2, 3 count and picked up the win for both Devlin and I. You see the two of us worked good as a team which is what Punch and Jasta lacked. So basically in the end the better team won the match as you all know. So all last week leading into this week I've been hearing around that Jasta is pissed and he wants to rip me apart. Ha, you know what, I find that quite funny because he already said that he would beat me in the ring last week. Obviously that didn't happen Jasta. From what I recall, I was the one who made you bleed in that match and I was the one who pinned you for the win. So by destroying someone you mean losing to them then by all means continue to "beat" people Jasta. In all I guess that you all real pissed and you want me in the ring tonight huh? By all means let's do this. I'd be glad beat you again Jasta. Devlin and I have already made you and Punch look bad in front of Primo, so I defiantly don't have a problem doing it to you again. So Jasta why don't you come out here and say all those things to me here in the ring and not to others backstage. You know you want a shot at me for what I did last week, so let's go."
Kris lowered the microphone down by his side. He could hear the crowd cheering because they wanted the match to happen. He stood there more focused than ever. He had called out Jasta and waited to see if he could show up.

Aren't we the confident one?Jasta's voice sounds over the PA. He enters the arena joined by Jonny Punch. And might I say, I'm quite surprised at the fact that unlike your typical rookie, you didn't even come out here and toot your own horn. There may be some credibility left in wrestling after all. But how selective people's memories are still baffles me. Last week, when I said you couldn't hold a candle to me, I said you couldn't do so ONE ON ONE. It doesn't take a genius to know that I'm not a tag team wrestler. I'm now wrestled, including last week, 4 tag team matches in my career. I do my best work alone in the ring. As does Punch here. So to your win last week, congrats. Enjoy it. You very well should. His evil grin tells the story of what was to come next. Tonight on the other hand, there will be no celebration for Kris Sayint. There'll be mourning. Mourning of what could have been. Because tonight, you face the most dangerous man in the industry, IN HIS ELEMENT. But it's not just going to be a normal match. No no no. You should only be so fortunate. Tonight, Kris. You'll be facing me in a match I hold near and dear to my heart.
A SHOOT FIGHT.The crowd hisses an boos at the notion. Buzz: W...WHAT!!! Sayint's never fought a Shoot Fight in his career!!! Jasta's UNBEATEN in Shoot Fights. This isn't even in the least bit fair!Roach: I doubt that was his intention, Buzz. He wants to make an example of Sayint. This is exactly what you would expect from his twisted ass. From the crowd's reaction, he knew that they obviously had a grasp of what this meant. The question was did Sayint. Tonight, Punch will be in my corner, to bare witness to your systematic dissection. And trust me, I'm going to pick you apart. Limb...by limb...by limb. Tell me, how confident do we feel now, Kris?Jasta awaits Sayint's reply.

So it was known that Bryan Jasta did extremely well in one on one matches. Still this didn’t scared Kris. He lifted the microphone to his lips, took a deep breath and began to speak.
"So Jasta, you had to go and choose a match type that was in your element huh? What too scared to wrestle me in a regular old match eh? Had to make it so that you would have the advantage coming into the match? You had to choose a match that I don’t even know what it is? Typical Jasta. Just typical. So you are probably expecting me to say no to this match huh? I know that it’s you’re element and everything but hey, let’s give it a shot. It can be under any rules and I will still come into the match giving it my all. You don’t scare me Jasta. You and your little buddy Punch over there. So it will be a Shootfight match tonight. It will be ever so better beating you in a match that is your "element." So Jasta let’s do this. Sayint, Jasta tonight in this ring in a…SHOOT FIGHT match."
Kris stood there focused as could ever be. The fans broke into cheers. They could tell that they liked the match and they were ready for a show to be put on. A Shoot Fight match, Kris didn’t even know what that match was but he was still going to go into it with everything he’s got. His fists tightened and his body tensed up. Oh he was ready for the match. He was ready to show everyone that he was no joke here in the XWA. He waited patiently for what Jasta would say next.

Jasta looks to Punch and grins. It seemed as if thing were going just as he anticipated. He brings up his mic and replies.
Oh no, Kris. The LAST thing I expected was for you to back down. I knew that you would take the match. Because I know that you're a man hell bent on making a name for yourself. A man who won't back down no matter how the odds are stacked against him. A man JUST like Devlin. He made his mark in wrestling last year by defying the odds, and some how, some way, surviving. But lighting won't be happening twice. We'll not see a "Daredevil 2.0". Tonight, you serve my purpose in two ways.
1. I get to prove to the world just how LUCKY you got last week.
2. I get to send a message to Devlin of what lies ahead for him at March Madness.
Am I afraid to face you in a normal match? You've gotta be joking. I'm the BEST wrestler on the planet. Man to man, pound for pound, theirs isn't a man in this business who can out fight me. It took Dru Nedermeyer, a man who I gave 150+ pounds to everything he had to beat me in Japan. Imagine what that means for a man like you? I could just as easily beat you senseless in a regular match. But what's the point on having stroke if you don't use it? *heh heh*
He awaits Sayint's response once more.

Once again Kris raises the microphone to his lips and begins to speak.
"You think I'm just like Devlin well that's cool. Well then so be it. Let it be bro. I'll do what he did and defy the odds meaning defeating you in the match of your element. So you can call it anything you want but it won't matter in the end. You just need someone to put you in your place and well I am here to do that. So you think that last week was luck, I will prove to you and to everyone in the back that it wasn't luck but pure wrestling skill and desire to win. You can say all you want about how you're gonna beat me easily but hey I'll do the same thing and do all my speaking in the ring again later tonight. So once this match is over you are gonna be so dazed and confused about how I beat you, you will go into March Madness with your mind elsewhere and lose you National championship to Adam Devlin. So bring your A game tonight and I will bring mine."
Once again th microphone is lowered and Kris awaits he next thing to be said by Jasta or for anything else to happen.

Jasta raises his mic to speak again.
I don't have anything BUT an A-Game, my friend. You get to see that firsthand. And let tonight serve as a lesson to you, Kris. The lesson being as confident as you are in your skill, there are ALWAYS men out there who exceed it. You're staring at one of them.
Jasta awaits his final response.

Kris nods his head before lifting the microphone to his lips one last time.
"Yes, I am confident in my skill. It has taken me a long time to get where I am today. I know that there ill always be someone better than I am. If it is you then so be it. I am just gonna be confident in myself that I can step into this very ring later tonight and pick up a victory against you Bryan Jasta. I'll see you later on in the ring tonight."
He nodded his head one more time followed by dropping the microphone to the mat. He stepped out of the ring and taunted for the fans once more. The crowd cheered for Kris as he walked up the ramp. Plenty was going through his mind but he needed to be mentally prepared for this match. He pushed the black curtain aside and disappeared backstage.
