Misconceptions? (Marisol)

*Note: This promo takes place at the premiere show but the match it's proposing will be for next week.*

"Hold Me Down" by Waterproof Blonde begins to play through the arena after some other segment takes place and Channelle sashays her way down the ramp looking like the superstar she's destined to be. Her street attire is a pink tube dress barely constraining her ample chest and some open toes high heels.

Roach: I don't know how much of this I can stand. Channelle is just...whoa!
BuZZ: Oh yeah. She's out on her own this year, lookin' like a million bucks too!

The ring announcer nearly trips over himself to hold the ropes apart in order for her to enter the ring. She steps inside with a coy little smile and extends her hand towards him for his microphone. He obliges and she clears her throat to speak.

Ladies and gentlemen I come before you tonight to address a very important issue here in the XWA...me!!! *giggle*

Roach: Nice to see she's the modest type...

You see, there's this whole misconception about me, Channelle being what you call a "Diva". That's one of those pieces of eye candy that's here to stimulate and prance around looking all pretty. Sell some calendars, some posters and even have a match now and then, who knows?

Well...let me be the one to inform you all that I'm not here to have matches now and then, here and there, whenever I feel like it. Aside from that...you're all 100% correct! See somewhere in the 90's on, some idiot out there decided he wanted to make the term "Diva" mean "useless eyecandy that sometimes wrestles". For those of you idiots who follow that logic, take a look at the jumbotron there for the actual definition of the word.

And the crowd collectively turns their attention to the screens in which displays:

Now...goddess? Fine Lady? They might as well have made the definition Channelle Valencia as far as I'm concerned. *giggle* That's the kinda girl I am, and to top all that off, I'm pretty damn good in this ring myself as well. Don't think so? Well, I've got the wins to prove it to everyone. Schoolgirls, loud mouthed sisters, it doesn't matter who stepped up, they got knocked down by cute little me.

She flips her hair aside to accentuate her point.

I'm not just another pretty face people...I'm THE pretty face. You are looking at the XWA's Main Attraction and the Diamond Division's "Center of Attention". Before me, all you got were the same old boring bitchy types and "independent women"...so so tragic! Now you can all rejoice though because the Diamond Division finally, FINALLY has itself some true dignity, some style and some class. A woman who you all can worship for her ravishing looks and her ravenous skills.

I'm the total package, ladies and germs...all that and a bag of chips! So why don't you all stand up and give an ovation to Channelle, the girl that you all came to see and wish that you could be!

A sway of her hips and then the blonde starts doing her rendition of the "Go Daddy" before another Diamond's theme interrupts her...

The theme is "La Tortura", and out in response to Channelle, making her first appearance in XWA this season and the first in months no less is Marisol Cardinale!

Roach: Wow, it's Marisol Cardinale ladies and gentlemen! We haven't seen this lady in...ages it would sure seem.
BuZZ: I'm not complaining, she's looking fine I gotta say. You know Roach I have a thing for the latin ladies afterall.
Roach: Yeah, right up until an asian ladiy shows up, then a black woman, then a white one, and so on. Mari doesn't look too pleased with Channelle's words here. Let's hear what's she got to say.

As the announce team almost literally introduce Mari back, she stands on stage with a mic in her hand and an angry look on her face. Her heavy Spanish accent fills the arena...

Channelle. Channelle Valencia. I bet that you are proud of yourself aren't you? Coming out here and bragging about yourself and about how great you are? It's not enough that we have to hear some of the so-called men of this company do the same thing, now women like you want to follow the trend?

You called your a goddess a few minutes ago. So think of yourself to be a woman, no, a "being" that the people are supposed to worship? Men are supposed to kneel to you, women are supposed to serve you. Is that right? Well...I'm going to have to disagree with you. The only thing that you are is an attention whore as far as I'm concerned. Every single word that has come from your lips screams "look at me, look at me!" Well let's look at you then...

Marisol pauses and then slowly marched down the aisle. The fans were starting to pick up their volume as she did so and the announce team spoke their concern for the situation as Mari stepped into the ring.

Here you are, dressed like you're going out to party. You've got all your "lovely lady lumps" out on display. Buzz over there said something about you looking like a million dollars, well...of course you would look like a million seeing as that's probably how much you spent to get that look!

Roach: Owwie.

You're nothing but another pretty face and a pair of tits. The typical California Blonde looking to draw some attention to herself by showing off. You're no better than the girls in the tabloids or all over those stupid celebrity shows! No, in fact, you're even worse because you have the audacity to come out here and call yourself a wrestler as well! I have a problem with that.

I spent nearly six months in Japan, learning what wrestling is truly about. I've grown up in this business with mi papa, and training under some of the best in the world I know more now about this sport and this business than ever before. Enough to respect it, and enough to come out here and say that you are nothing to this sport than just another piece of eye candy for the men to ogle over. Whatever it is that you did last year means nothing, because this year I don't think that anyone in the Diamond Division has a need to worry about a "diva" like you.

So it was Marisol Cardinale who came out and seemed to have an issue. It wasn't enough that the two happened to have some heated words with each other during Sarah Warfield's conference last month, now it appears that the latin lady wanted to start something up live.

Mari, Mari, quite contrary. You say that all like it's a bad thing. This right here *cupping her boobs * is all natural, don't be jealous cuz you dove into the shallow part of the latina gene pool. You think that the rest of the Diamond Division isn't going to sweat me, but that's where you're wrong darling. Without me, the only thing the Diamond Division are is a bunch of beasts, crank jobs and bull-dykes.

If there's anyone that nobody should be worried about it's you. So what I did last year doesn't matter, huh? Well, exactly what did you do in 2007 then? Oh...nobody cares.

Let me break it down to you honey. You have to have the look, you have to have the talent and you have to have the skill and judging from what I've seen tonight from you "ladies" there's not a whole lot of competition here for little old me. That's not gonna stop me from stepping on some toes on my way to the top though and loving every minute of it.

I'm the beauty queen, the drama queen, I'm all that you want me to be and all that you hate, and why? Because I like it that way and there isn't anything you can do about it, but you know if you want to actually try to do something, you're more than welcome to.

Her display might have left most of the guys wanting more (the pervs), but Marisol was not too impressed.

Anything to get a grab at those things whenever you can huh? I don't believe you! I don't believe I'm going to have to soil my hands with a piece of trash like you, but if that's what it's going to take to teach you a lesson then so be it.

I've done quite a bit in my time in 2007 to let you know. Ask the Diamonds who I knocked off one by one in Battle Royal after Battle Royal! Ask the two Canadian fellows who I whipped up good for their Tag Team titles. Don't you dare question what I've accomplished in a year's time. The way I see I can only get better and the perfect way for me to start on that road to success is by kicking your ass!

Even closer does she creep in Channelle's direction. The fans are on pins and needles at this point. Channelle is as cocky as she can be and Marisol looks as focussed as she ever has been.

I don't think that I like your attitude much and next week in Connecticut I think I might be in the mood to give it a slight adjustment. One on one, you and me in this ring, and I will show what I've learned, I'll show how a professional of my type does things. All we'd need to do to see how a pro of your type does is stuff some dollar bills down your bra, or pay cash up front.

You should know so much about taking cash for favors, huh? Where'd you get your start really, because you sound like a Tijuana hooker as it is!

Channelle wasn't the least bit amused by Marisol's biting comments, and she wasn't going to be upstaged so without warning she shoved the woman right down to the mat!

You've got some nerve trying to get some shine-time when clearly all of these people are more interested in seeing me! Get used to the feeling of being on the ground you little bitch!

The look on Mari's face was first a look of shock on the fact that the woman had the nerve to take it there. That look quickly turned to one fiery Latin temper that was set to blow.

You're the one who should be used to being on your back all the time you puta susia! Let me give you a reminder!

She answers back by tackling Channelle quickly, taking her down by the legs and smothering her. With two hands full of neck hair Mari starts to choke Channelle as the blonde fights her off by tugging at her hair. Meanwhile the fans can be hear screaming "Caaaaaaatfight!" as security personnel scurry into the ring to break up the pair.

Roach: Thank you, thank you! Security is promptly taking control of the situation right now. I had a feeling that was going to boil over having them go at it. These ladies really don't like each other much now do they?

It's takes about six or seven of these men to keep the girls at bay and then things seem to calm down before Mari in the usual way this somehow is allowed to happen breaks away from the three men holding her back and jumps Channelle one more time. She barely gets a shot in before she's carried right off her feet out the ring yelling many Spanish expletives that shouldn't be said on national TV-at least if it wasn't Spanish TV that is.

You're mine bitch! I'm going to kill you tonight!

BuZZ: I hate to see two fine ladies like that at each others throats Roach but there isn't gonna be any security to stop them later tonight!

The camera cuts to shots of both Mari and Channelle with vicious scowls on their faces as the fans could now be heard chanting "Let Them Go! Let Them Go!" as the scene draws to a close.
