Avenger Has Arrived (XWA/TNB Talent)

As TakeDown begins Mike Roach and Buzz Berman begin the show as they commend the great PPV. Suddenly the lights flicker and this cold music "Pain and Retribution" begins to play. A dark figure stands above the big screen as the lighting catches just limited images of this wrestler. He then opens his arms in a crosslike motion He jumps off which seems to be 15 feet and land on his feet and begins looking in the crowd.

Roach: Berman! Is that who I think it is?

Berman: Yes! The rumors were real. It is the Avenger!

The Avenger walks down the ramp and gives the announcers a stare and then enters the ring. He takes a mic from his trenchcoat and looks at the fans until he begins speaking.

Well! Well! Well! This is the XWA. This is the place to be as it seems. The drama and the best as the call themselves now has the Greatest Wrestler of All-Time in this company. The "Franchise" of the TNB has arrived and now the Avenger is here to play. Now the Avenger got a phone call about a month ago to come down and take care of some business. You see the Avenger was okay in just leaving the wrestling business because he left on top. Being a multiple champion and the only one to hold every single TNB title. But that is the past and the future as they say is now and the XWA.

The Avenger has saw some of what is going on and the Avenger is here to announce that he is here to support the TNB'ers. Since that is the company that the Avenger built. But honestly, the Avenger sat back and took some time off and realized like all the fans realized that wrestling isn't wrestling unless the Greatest Champion of All-Time isn't here to save these fans from the ridiculous storylines and talent that this company is offering them. The Avenger was thinking that this company should give back some of their money for the product that you guys are producing. But now the Avenger is here to save the world and here to do what he does best and that is create the ratings monster that is the Avenger.

The fans are giving a mixed reaction as there are a few Avenger tshirts and signs in the crowd. The Avenger pauses and looks at the fans once again.

Now let it be known that the Avenger is here to do great things just like he did in Atlanta. The Avenger is here to honor the company that he built. And just know that the Avenger is here to destroy anyone and anything that comes in his path. So write it down XWA and that is the Avenger is TNB and after it is all said and done. All the dust has settled and smoke has cleared; the one that will be standing in the end is the Avenger.

Now the Avenger is the last one holding the TNB World Champion and this company is in dire need of a real champion and know it won't be easy for the Avenger to take what is his destiny. The Avenger knows that all the XWA trash in the back will want to try to do something that is only in their dreams and that is be half the man the Avenger is. But the Avenger is here and the Avenger has spoken.

[adrenaline]

"And now I get to speak."
*almost instantaneously, the crow begins booing for this brash, cocky young Combatant.*
"So, Avenger. you have a history int hw wrestling business, I'll give you that. But your time is past, my time is here, my time is now! So get your ass outta MY RING."

Someone needs to just give this guy a damn contract so he doesn't have to try so frickin' hard...

That's the thoughts running through Kevin Rush's mind as he stands at the gorilla position. His theme "Coming Undone" begins to play as he grabs a mic and heads out onto the TakeDown stage.

BuZZ: Here comes a man to answer the call...

Roach: From the sounds of it, it's Kevin Rush. The PPV didn't go his way, but that would not stop a guy like him. This man is a fighter, pure and simple...it's going to interesting to see what he has to say.

Standing on the stage, he starts to speak:

Yes, this IS the XWA. The big leagues. The big time. The big show. If it wasn't, you're ass wouldn't be standing in that ring. So...you're the "legendary" Avenger? Oh ho ho, this is rich man, rich! ANOTHER painted up freak with a chip on his shoulder? You MUST be from TNB...that's about all it is that I've seen from you guys!

He continues talking, but slowly makes his way down to the ring.

It's bad enough that you come on out here with a damn "third person" complex...but calling yourself the Greatest Champion of All Time? HA!!!

You're last champ of a company who's plug was pulled. That makes you...NOBODY. Not here, not there, not anywhere else but TNB. Too bad that this ISN'T TNB...or you might have had a damn good claim there. As it stands right now, you're nothing but another trash talking freak who has nothing but his old glories to speak about, thinking he's gonna get the attention of everyone around here.

Now, he steps into the ring, eyes glaring in Avenger's direction.

Well...theonly person's attention you got is me. A guy who is just like you. No, I haven't been a world champion...YET, but yeah, I am a relative newcomer to the XWA...that means all that you've done in the past doesn't mean jack. It's what you here and now that matters, and you can start by dealing with me.

And who am I? KEVIN RUSH. More than you're kingergarten painted ass can handle. Got a problem with that?

[adrenaline]

"Kevin, from what i see, you are no better, ego and all. get outta here."

[genesis]

"Master of Puppets" by Metallica starts to play loudly over the PA System and the fans in the arena start to go ballistic.

Mike Roach - Thats....thats Genesis music. What would we want with both The Avenger & Kevin Rush ?

Buzz Berman - Maybe he's coming out to say hello ?

Mike Roach - You know Genesis as well as I do. He never comes out to "just say hello".

Buzz Berman - First time for everything Roachy.

Mike Roach - Please don't call me that !

After a few seconds. Genesis comes out alone as he steps out on stage to a packed capacity crowd on hand. They all start to literatly go nuts as they chant "Genesis" over and over again. Ignoring Kevin Rush's presence on stage. Genesis, staring at the ground as he stands there just soaking in all the attention. Raises his head and looks directly at The Avenger. A look of distain comes across his face as he looks right at the very man whom many considered help made Genesis who he is today.

Afterwards, Genesis marches down the rampway with a "man on a mission" like approach as he stops at the bottom of the rampway with the XWA National Championship over his shoulder. Never taking his eyes off of The Avenger for one second. He then turns his head to the left & to the right gazing out at the crowd as they are on pins & needles. Wondering whats going to happen when The King of Controversy steps into the ring.

From here, Genesis walks up the steel steps and stands in the center of the ring apron. Looking at the crowd. He takes the belt off of his right shoulder and raises it high up in the air. Nods his head gently as the crowd starts reciting a few lines of his theme music:

Crowd:
"Master of Puppets I'm pulling your strings
Twisting your mind and smashing your dreams
Blinded by me, you can't see a thing
Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream
Master

Just call my name, 'cause I'll hear you scream

Master"

After this, Genesis steps into the ring with The Avenger. Gen. takes one good look out at the crowd at every end of the arena and looks back at Avenger with a smile across his face.

Mike Roach - Wrestling fans. This moment will go down in the record books for sure. Two of TNB's biggest names standing right across from each other. One dubbed "The Franchise". The other, the "New Franchise".

Buzz Berman - This is going to explode here shortly. These two men can be friends one second, enemies the next. What purpose does our Nat. Champion serve being out here ? What does he want with Avenger ?

As Genesis walks slowly towards The Avenger. He then stops just a mere couple of feet away from him. The crowd is going absolutley ape shit.

Genesis motions for the crowd to settle down. As they do just that. Gen. pulls a microphone out from his left front pocket. Then just to build more tension in the arena. He purposely slowly raises the microphone up to his lips. Then pauses for another few seconds, then finally starts to speak:

Genesis - Well.........what do we have here ? The great almighty Avenger finally after months decides to show his face in a wrestling ring. A XWA wrestling ring nonetheless. So how have you been ? As you can tell by this nice shiny little piece of material over my shoulder. I've been doing very well. So well here that even I, the King of Controversy, amaze myself...

But I'm not out here though to still your spotlight. This is your big debut in XWA. But the reason that I AM out here Avenger is over a couple of false statements that you made just now. Oh btw, great entrance. 9.5 on the 15 foot drop. Nice effects...

*Crowd starts to chuckle a bit. Then Genesis continues talking*.

Genesis - You see, you made the claim that you were "The Franchise" of TNB correct ? Well, maybe in 2005 you were. But in the year 2007. I say that term has definietly worn itself out as it relates to you. Not taking anything away from what you have done for TNB or for me for that matter. But what you seem to be forgetting is one thing. Here recently, when you was at home on your vacation away from the wrestling business. Healing some of your nagging injuries perhaps. I was out here in NEW YORK CITY !!!

*Genesis gets a standing ovation from the crowd*

Buzz Berman - Cheap pop !

Mike Roach - (Laughs)

Genesis - Where I was taking names and kicking ass in the honor of those famous Red N' Black letters & colors of the T......N......B ! And my reward for that ? This bad boy over my shoulder. Defeating what was believed to be unbeatable. Beating XXL for the National Heavyweight Championship. A big moment for my career. Almost as big as winning the TNB World Heavyweight Championship. HOWEVER.....however....not QUITE as big as the night that I kicked yours & Lionheart's ass in the same night at Blood Association !

*Genesis says with a huge smile on his face and a little laugh at the fans start to ohhhhh & awwww. Can't believe what Genesis had just said to "The Franchise"*.

Genesis - And I know you Avenger more then probably anybody. You'll come back with that same old song & dance (Mocking Avenger, only saying it with an old man voice) "Sure Genesis you kicked my ass *coughs & weases*. But I kicked your ass *coughs* 1,000,000 times already to your one *coughs uncontrollably*.

*Crowd reacts to that with a mixture of cheers & boo's. Some feel that this act was uncalled for*.

Genesis - Ah....I'm just fucking with ya Avenger. You know that. Me & you have been down that road before. We both know who the real "Franchise" player around here is ? Its me of course !!!

*Mixed Reaction from the Crowd*.

Genesis - You see Avenger. Your not the Franchise. If it had been maybe a year or two ago. I would stand here and agree with you 110%. Now though, I can't say that. Cause it seems....as you used to say....."The Diamond has lost its luster".

*Crowd: Ohhhhhhh !*

Genesis - The other comment you made really hit a nerve with me was your claim to be the TNB World Heayvweight Champion. Or at least you think you deserve to be World Champion. Either way, wanna know what i think about that ? I say BULLSHIT !

If Lionheart has to pick a World Champion to represent TNB. A man that could lead TNB into victory. Your looking at him. While I appreciate you coming back and helping us out in the fight. When it comes to being the World Champion. Nobody, whether your on side TNB or XWA stands in my way for that ! That belt is a matter of life & death ! Same can be said for the XWA World Championship. Which I WILL capture when the day comes.

Fact is Avenger, you my friend don't have it anymore. I think that little vacation you took has brought along a little ring rust. Ring rust that you will never be able to get rid of. Cause as it stands right now. If we had to face each other here tonight. I'd run circles around you buddy boy.

Sure I talk a big game as you know by now. But the thing is that seperates me from the rest is that I can back it up. And I've done just that so far here in the XWA. If you wanna be the World Champion for TNB. Earn it all over again. I know your the biggest name in TNB history. I think I know that after being in your shadow for our time in TNB Wrestling. But luckily for me. Since you've been gone. I have not only jumped out of your shadow. I fucking leap frogged out of it.

How ironic is though ? Today, on this very day one year ago. Me, You, Steiner, Luger, & Jericho were fighting the Devil's Advocates. You were the man a year ago. No question about it. Fast forward one year later. And I gotta ask one question. How does it feel to be in the shadow of your succcessor ?

See, the shoe is now on the other foot now. While you may consider this meeting a bittersweet reunion between to old rivals. I do wish you the best of luck here. Just remember though, the next time we stand in this ring face to face. We won't be doing any talking. No, no, no. We'll be throwing it down and rocking New York like a fucking hurricane !

If Lionheart had to choose between The Avenger & Genesis to whom should be World Champion. Allow me to throw out a small suggestion. Lets make this Genesis vs The Avenger for the World Title. And just like we tore up the place back in Atlanta ol' so many times before. I can gurant-damn-tee you that after our fight. If your not afraid to accept my challenge. That New York City will NEVER be the same again !

So whaddya say old man. Genesis vs The Avenger for the World Title. Just for old times sake. Who is the true Franchise of TNB.

Genesis lowers the microphone and awaits a response.

Kevins is looking on and listening on to Genesis as he makes his presence known in the ring...and is somehow stopping himself from laughing aloud.

Um...hello? Yeah, over here guys. Seriously, I think the fumes from all that facepaint must be killing your braincells, because if I'm hearing right, you're talking about wrestling for some world title? Correct me if I'm wrong, but neither of you are black and wear tiger prints on your ring gear, so that means neither of you are world champions, not in this company anyway.

Honestly, I don't think either of you two freaks seem to have an idea of what "in this company" is. The company...in case you gentlemen have forgotten from the logos all over the banners and everything...is the X-W-A. Not TNB, not GNC, not FTP. Get it together people.

You two want to go off and wrestle for an imaginary belt, go right ahead, but do us a favor Genesis, leave that National Title in this ring when you do, cuz as long as you're here and as long you're "in this company", AND as long as you have that title, that's the only damn thing that should matter to you. Unless of course you just want someone who is focussed on what's going here like say...ME, to take that belt from you.

Then, you two will be more than welcome to bore these people to death about imaginary matches that will never see the light of day in an XWA ring.

The Avenger looks at Kevin Rush and Genesis as it appears that there could be some tension and the Avenger looks at the crowd before lifting his mic.

Now what do we have here? A guy that looks like Batista that comes out here and does the one thing he should never do and that is interrupt the Avenger. You see the Avenger is here for one reason and one reason only and that is to put his "Mark" on this company and everyone in his path. Now since you want to bring your nickel mouth out then how about you bring the rest of you later tonight. Because it is about time that the Avenger took you to the learning tree. Now make no mistake about it "DeBo" and that is the Avenger is just not some rookie from Mayberry that you are just going to dominate like 3rd grade English apparently does to you. But tonight you will know why they call me the "Franchise" and know why they call the Avenger the "Anti-Hero."

The Avenger looks over at Genesis

Now Genesis not everyone knows the history that is between you and the Avenger. But let me let you know that there will come a day that you and the Avenger will lock horns as they say. But you see the problem is that tonight the Avenger will take one XWA trash out and go all the way until he has completed the task that he is getting paid to do. Now Genny when you and the Administration want to book the "Ratings Machine" then that can happen. Not like we haven't turned it out before but tonight Kevin Rush will know why his a@@ belongs to the Avenger.

But you go on and defend that title you got because if you still have that later in my time here at XWA then the Avenger has no problem taking that from you. You know it will be just like old times.

You here some chatter from the crowd as they are cheering more for the Avenger.

Now Kev if you want some of this all you got to do is sign on the bottom line! You sign your death warrant and the Avenger will be more than willing to accomodate you in your endeavor. And Genny if you want some then all you got to do is either come on down or convince the "higher ups" but as far as a TNB Title goes there is some contract negotiations that will have to be met before that will go down.

My question to you is are you with the Avenger and the TNB or have you sold your soul? But regardless of what you have done just know that the Avenger is here now. The Avenger is here because these fans want him here and finally someone that won't put these fans asleep unlike what the Avenger has seen for months. So boys and boys in the back just know that the Avenger is here and the Avenger is about to change the dilemnas in this company and tonight is "Revelation" 101.

The Avenger opens his arms and gives Kevin Rush a deep stare.

Now Rush all the things you have heard about the Avenger are probably true. The Avenger is known for one thing and that is delivering "Pain and Retribution." And after tonight you will know your biggest mistake and that is to get in the business of the Avenger. So boy get ready because tonight the Avenger makes his debut and for all of the Main Eventers in the back and you know who you are; tonight is the worst night of your lives as well. And the reason why? You are looking at it! The Avenger has come to do what he does best and tonight Batista Jr. here is the Avenger's first victim.

Rush can only respond at first with a puzzled expression on his face.

Who!?

You have got to be kidding me, man? I could bomb that overated piece of trash straight through this mat if I felt like it, don't you ever compare me to him or anyone else in any other second rate promotion. They can't hang with me, freak-boy...hell, YOU can't hang with me, and I'd be more than welcome to prove that you, pal.

You want it, you got it. I'll put this overated piece of trash in his place, and then I'll do the same to any one of your painted up friends who want a RUSH right behind you. It's on, bucko...IT. IS. ON.

Genesis...you can sit back and watch your boy get annihilated. Soon...REAL soon you'll be next on that list. This isn't Wonderland anymore, boys...and I'm gonna be the man to put your storybook right back on the shelf where it belongs.

Rush drops his mic and hops hops out of the ring, leaving the two inside to discuss whatever "dreams" they can conjure up.

BuZZ: Looks like...we have a match here?

Roach: From the sounds of it, I think so. The Avenger's XWA Debut facing off against the impressive Kevin Rush. Like he said man, book it...

Enrique is shown back stage watching Avenger and Genesis exchange words for TNB World title, he smiles to see all the fuss that is occuring, even Kevin rush is proving point in the ring, Enrique just watches and see what this will turn into......

The Avenger just gives that smilish stare of his as Kevin Rush begins his way out of the ring

Hold on there "Bucko". You must think that getting in the ring with the Avenger is like taking candy from a baby? Now you can come out here and run your mouth all you want about this promotion or that promotion. But the bottom line is that when these XWA clowns book the match then one thing will come to pass and that is the "Revelation" that the Avenger foresees. Let me make this "Crystal" clear for you and that is there is no help for you in this ring when the bell sounds and for one time in your pathetic life you will be next to "Greatness." For one time you will know what it is like to go one on one with the man that puts butts in seats and money in the pockets of wrestling promoters.

Avenger pauses and waves to the crowd.

You see boy the bottom line is that the XWA came calling the one man that can save the sport. The one man that can give "True" Justice. The one man that saw this promotion falling victim to wanabees like yourself. Basically you are not in the Avenger's class but this is the appetizer on what is to come in the future for the Avenger in the XWA. Now you may be correct about the TNB and this is not that. But what you failed to realize is that the Avenger is the man and the Avenger will give to you what you are dying to obtain. And that is "Pain and Embarrassment." So tonight if the promoters are wanting a real champion to show the world what entertainment and wrestling is all about then start by booking this match. And for all of the so called champions in the back or wannabe main eventers let the Avenger come out and say it. You boys don't got long until the "Retribution" is all over you.

Tonight is the Avenger's debut but his coming out party. so put on your party hats and watch the greatest wrestler of all time eat his cake and ice cream.

Rush turns back one more time and put the mic to his lips trying to stop himself from laughing again.

The only thing that you're gonna be eating tonight is your WORDS. That is after you're done eating some fists, some foot and a whole lotta that canvas that you're standing on. You think you're best, you call yourself to the "greatest"? Time for you to prove it, pal. Put up or shut up as they say, and I'm gonna have me some fun shutting YOU up.

His theme hits again, leave the scene with the sight of Rush standing on stage with the two TNB Alumns in the ring. A successful debut or a decisive win for KRush? Only time shall tell.
