In only a year's time, the XWANational Title had earned respect and prestige that some WORLD championships can't measure to. The men who have held this title are considered to be amongst the best in the world and only a stone's throw from being Platinum Class material. The National Title is considered to be the XWA's official "second" title belt amongst the men's division.
========2007 History========
FIRST CHAMPION
Xander Xavier Luther (Defended 5 Times)
Achieves a title bench mark in XWA that only at season's end was close to being broken.
SECOND CHAMPION
Brandon "Genesis" Payne (Defended 2 Times)
Ends the reign of XXL and attains 2 defenses
THIRD CHAMPION
Shia Storm (Defended 2 Times)
Defeats Genesis attain, and defends twice against Angel Fire.
Title vacated after departure from XWA.
FOURTH CHAMPION
Bryan Jasta (Defended 4 times)
Wins vacated Title in SECONDSHOT Battle Royal and takes title in Xgames I after 4 defenses.
========2008========
FIRST CHAMPION
Bryan Jasta (Defended 5 times)
Defends for a record matching 5th time at Xgames and takes title into the 08 season.
SECOND CHAMPION
Van Hayden (Defended 2 times)
At MAYDAY 2008, Hayden wins his first singles title and ends Jasta's title reign, the longest in XWA History at the time.
THIRD CHAMPION
Primo Valiante
Primo secures the National Title by way of a Triple Threat match between him, Finesse and Van Hayden at XGames II
========2009========
FIRST CHAMPION
Primo Valiante (Defended 1 time)
Primo defends the title versus Finesse at March Madness.
SECOND CHAMPION
Jimmy Ames
Ames defeates Primo at Soul Survivor, becoming the 1st man in XWA history to hold 3 separate Singles Titles.
========2010========
Retired
The National Title was retired as result of the brand split of 2010/Draft, and replaced with the Global Championship.
========2011========
Reinstated
Due to a company "split", The Global Title is then retired. The XWA reinstates the National Title in it's former capacity. The vacant title will be contested for at Madness 2011 for a new titleholder.
