The grim reality of his brashness had sunk in as he sat in his private suite. In one fell swoop, Rodolphe had lost everything. His company. He title as GM. And most importantly, he had lost to his own son. Under normal pretenses, when a son surpasses his father, It's a joyous thing. But in this case, it was far from it. Rodolphe could only ponder what was to come of the company he'd spent a lifetime building into a global powerhouse. No one quite knew it as he did. He'd failed the XWA as a whole. The roster, the shareholders, Carmella. Everyone who had anything to do with XWA. With Sabastien now at the helm, there was no telling what he would do. There was a knock at the door...
Mr. Gallas. The limo is ready, and your plane is awaiting you at the airport.
With a deep, regretful sigh, Rodolphe rises from his seat. Flanked by his many assistants, they make there way to the parking lot.
Sir, he doesn't truly control EVERYTHING does he? Say it isn't so.
'Ze folder contains the majority share of all GGE. 65%. I still hold 15%, but that's not nearly enough to access any of GGE's assets. Only 'ze finances accrued to myself personally. I'm afraid as GGE and XWA goes, Sabastien is now gate keeper.
Another assistant chimes in.
He's going to run both companies into the ground. This is going to be a disaster. Surely there's SOMETHING we can do.
For'ze time being, all we can do is return to my compound in France. From there, I'll 'zink of something. In war, there are calculated risks. I under estimated his skill. And anyone associated with GGE or XWA will bare the brunt of it. For now, we MUST retreat. 'Zis battle has been won by Sabastien, but 'ze war is not over.
Minutes later, Rodolphe's caravan is seen speeding away from the arena. Gallas leers out of his window, the thoughts of what he's done hanging heavy on his heart. Sabastien had won. There was no changing that. With the now limited resources at his disposal, There was no way Rodolphe would be able to fight him back. Not now. The war was finally over. But sadly, the fatal blow to end it was self inflicted.
END.
