Pure rules. Pure wrestling. One of the most unique championships in the industry today, the XWAPure Title is all about tenacity and fortitude. Pure matches never leave the ring, and submissions are not monitored, meaning the winner of a Pure match must be the one who pins his opponent-no other way.
========2007 History========
FIRST CHAMPION
Jimmy Ames (Defended 1 time)
Ames becomes XWA's 1st Pure Champion
SECOND CHAMPION
Kris Cade (Defended 2 times)
Defeats Ames to win title. Defends successful twice, one in a triple threat match.
THIRD CHAMPION
Ryan Blaze (Defended 1 time)
Defeats Cade in triple threat match, and defends in solo contest.
FOURTH CHAMPION
Kris Cade (Defended 2 times)
Cade defeats Blaze in rematch and defends another two times.
FIFTH CHAMPION
Jimmy Ames
Wins #1 Contendership in fatal 4 way, and defeats Cade to become one of XWA's only multi-time champions.
SIXTH CHAMPION
Testudo (Defended 2 times)
Wins title by defeating Ames, and secures an unprecedented 2 defenses in one night.
SEVENTH CHAMPION
Nick Jones
Defeats Testudo to win first career championship.
EIGHTH CHAMPION
Blade Myers
Defeats Jones and takes title into Xgames.
========2008========
FIRST CHAMP
Kayn
With a victory over Blade at March Madness 08, Kayn's Pure Title victory marks the first champion for the first Combatant Xtraordinaire. Kayn would defend the title 12 times, an XWA record, in addition to remaining undefeated the entire season until his loss to the next champion.
2ND CHAMP
Magnus Von Schwartz
Magnus ended both Kayn's title reign and undefeated streak to capture the belt.
3RD CHAMP
Romeo Davis
Davis defeated Magnus in his second attempt to win the title, and carried the belt for the remainder of the season.
========2009========
1ST CHAMP
Chris Dynamite
Dynamite ends Romeo's title run, which is also his first XWA victory.
2ND CHAMP
Blade Myers
Myers wins the title for a second time after defeating Dynamite.
========2010========
1ST CHAMPION
Magnus Von Schwartz
Magnus wins his second Pure Title by defeating Myers in dominant fashion, and goes the late half of the season without contention.
