When choosing your Finishers for XWA2008, please keep these rules in mind:
1) There are NO limitations to Finisher usage in XWA due to the sheer size of the league, hence Combatants/Diamonds can share Primary Finishers within reason. The staff has right to order any member to change their finisher OR limit specific finishers however as needed.
2) Certain finishers ARE limited and further usage of these moves will be monitored and then RESTRICTED by staff-even if there are multiple versions:
Sweet Chin Music
Stunner
Spear
Pedigree
Rock Bottom
Tombstone Piledriver
Last Ride
*Generally any UBER moves are subject to be restricted to new OR existing members. You've been warned.
3) As per our STRUGGLE SUBMISSION guidelines (here) ONLY those who use the Submission Fighting Style as a PRIMARY style are allowed to use Struggle Submission moves as a Finisher. NO EXCEPTIONS.
4) As always, if a member comes in that uses your secondary as their primary, you will be asked to pick a new secondary and BOTH finisher slots will be set to your primary until a replacement is chosen.
This rule applies on a gender specific basis. (See Rule 6)
*This can be avoided by choosing a decent (read: non-Uber) secondary move from a different position other than standing, which is what most Primary Finishers are chosen from.
5) Finisher Strength is maxed out, so whatever you choose will do much more damage than if it was a regular move. That said, you will not have to omit a move from your moveset if it's used by another member as a finisher, because their version is stronger by default and hence more devastating.
6) Finisher sharing is aloud, but with certain limits. We look at finisher usage from the standpoint of men and women. Generally we will allow at least two of each gender to use a single move, primary or secondary before locking it. In the case of a secondary rule#4 comes into play. However there are special exceptions...
*If a move is shared by two of each gender as a SECONDARY and a third member of each gender joins using it as a PRIMARY, the two of the SAME gender will need to change secondaries only.
*It is allowed for a CAW of one Gender to have a Secondary Finisher that a CAW of another gender uses as a Primary, provided a CAW of the SAME gender isn't using it as a Primary.
