Bio:
The journey of Hogan Chase in the wrestling industry has been a long one. He comes to XWA with over 11 years experience under his belt, having worked for 3 notable companies, and gaining recognition as one of the hardest working names in the "indy" circuit. His ring name "Hogan" is a tribute to the wrestler who inspired him to become one himself as a youth, Hulk Hogan. Holding World Titles in every company he's been employed in, Hogan looks to add XWA gold to his resume.
His career began in Xtreme Wrestling Entertainment, where he worked his way up from being a no name jobber into one of the company's best young talents. In only two years with the company, he had won three titles, including the Heavyweight Title. With his skill obvious growing with every match, he was respected, feared and hated amongst all of XWE. But try as they could, there was no superstar in the entire company that could match his in ring talent. He would lose the Heavyweight title in a fatal 4 way he didn't even factor into the decision of. A month later, Hogan would be hired by Strong Style Wrestling. He would travel to Japan, where SSW was based and begin training for his SSW debut.
With his reputation as a fierce competitor proceeding him, Hogan found himself quickly in the hunt for the SSW United States Title. After only one month in the company, the title was his. He held the US title for 8 months before being defeated by now long time friend and ally Paul "The Mercenary" Mercer. But all was not lost. Hogan now had designs on the World Title. And after two months of hard fought matches to climb the mountain, Hogan was again a World Champ. In his SSW career, which lasted some 5 years, he would hold the title two more times, one reign lasting 11 months. Due in part to his title reigns and overall excellence in the company, he was named wrestler of the year two years in a row. It was during his final reign as champ that he decided to use his career earnings and open his own company, Prime Time Wrestling.
Small by comparison to most companies, what PTW lacked in size and budget, it made up for in pure action. Made up mostly of fellow SSW talent, as well as talent new to the company, PTW because the top Indy promotion of the Mid-West, doing shows from Detriot (it's home base) to Hogan's hometown of Chicago and even overseas in Japan, Canada and Australia. Early on in PTW, Hogan held the World Title two times, but it was Tag Team Title runs that were most impressive. He won Tag gold on 5 different occasions with 3 different partners. Three reigns alongside of Mercer, (As the Prime Time Xpress) and reigns alongside Jeff Heaven and Guerrero Gomez. After 3 years, Hogan decided it was time to move on. PTW had a great run, but financial pressures, and his parting ways with SSW left him without the funds to keep the company he'd built alive. But all was not lost. He received a call from Tommy Tryton, one of the young stars who was brought up in PTW, who told him of the comapny he was now under contract in, XWA. A billion dollar wrestling organization that was still young and growing fast. Hogan saw his salvation in New York City.
In later January of 2008, Hogan would meet with XWA GM Rodolphe Gallas to come to terms of XWA absorbing PTW into there company. Terms would be agreed upon, and on January 30th, PTW was bought by XWA, effectively making all of it's current roster employees of XWA. Of course as per the terms, the PTW talent has the option to sign XWA contracts, or opt out of there PTW contracts and seek employment elsewhere. To Hogan however, XWA represented a new beginning. The talent pool of the company far exceeds that of XWE and SSW, and he knew that here he would truly be able to etch his name in the record books against world class talent, on a global scale. Just a day after selling his company to XWA, Hogan signed a lucrative contract that will ensure when he hangs up his boots, it'll be as an XWA superstar. And so the next chapter of Hogan's career begins.
