Bio:
2007 was an up and down year for Osiris Alston. He came onto the scene in late February, and quickly made a name for himself. Possessing talent across the board, Alston was pegged to be one of XWA's top draw superstars, but this would never truly come to pass. Alston would eventually join forces with then World Champion Scott O'Dell and Pure Champion Jimmy Ames to for the original lineup of "The Headlinerz". The trio would take XWA by storm in the early going, securing wins over the likes of Ryan Fierhart, Lucas Klash, Jared Chase and Adam Devlin alike. The highlight coming in a 6 man elimination take versus Klash, Fierhart and Chase, of which they swept. But Alston still remained the only member of the group without title gold, which prompted him to be the 1st man to challenge XXL for his recently won National Title. He failed to capture the title, and with the growing number of superstars looking to earn the now prestigious belt, Alston fell out of contention for it for several months.
Following this, he would get into it again with Jared Chase and Ryan Fierhart. Over the course of the next month, Alston would face off with Chase three times and Fierhart once, Alston winning all four matches in deciding fashion. The following month, Alston and Ames would throw there names into the Tag Team ranks, but lost there one and only match together to The Rockstars. Soon after, Jimmy Ames broke off from the group, leaving it Alston and O'Dell. Alston would make another attempt at the National Title versus a former XWA superstar, but again failed to get over the hump. After this loss, Alston fell off the radar for several months.
In Mid October, Alston would return to XWA with a totally new gimmick. He now sported blond hair, big platinum chains, and wrestled in leather pants. The gimmick was to be a "Street O.G." type character. He also now had a large dragon tattooed on his back. Despite the change in gimmick, Osiris still showed he was one of, if not THE most under rated talent in XWA, as he continued to win matches. His 1st match back was a hardcore Triple threat that he won convincingly. He then took on one of the three men he faced in this match, Chet Dixon, and again won in grand fashion. This prompted another encounter with Ryan Fierhart. They would meet up one on one 2 more times before Xgames, and again Alston won every contest. Defeating Fierhart so convincingly started getting Alston recognition again, as Fierhart is widely regarded a world class talent. At Xgames I, Alston broke character stating that he didn't want some stupid gimmick holding back the fact that he's one of the best pound for pound athletes in wrestling. He challenged Fierhart one more time, this time to a Tag match. Alston's partner would be Lionel Xander, who had a bad run of luck against Ryan's older brother, the legendary Simon Fierhart. Ryan would answer back with his long time partner Dylan Bates. The match was lost by way of Fierhart pinning Xander. So even though he lost to Ryan finally, he's still yet to be pinned by him.
2008 sees Osiris return with a new attitude, and focus to his young career. His goal is simple, cross the one hurdle he's yet to clear, XWA Gold. Most notably, The National Title that's eluded him twice before. Over the offseason, Alston has been training with the Team KO Fighting Sports Gym, adding a solid ground game to his already impressive striking skill. Now a more complete, well rounded fighter, Alston returns to the squared circle looking to improve on 2007.
