Born into the Davis family on March 4, 1986 was Romeo Tyler Davis. He was born into a just above middle class family with his father, Tyler, being a soccer coach at a university and his mother, Monika, a nurse at the local hospital. Romeo was born the youngest of two. His sister, Ashley, was two when Romeo was born. Even at her young age, she was a bright child.
Romeo also grew up a very bright student and loved to play sports. Of course his favorite sport was soccer with his father being a coach who had been offered a head coaching job in the MLS. His favorite soccer team that he enjoyed to watch from the MLS was the Los Angeles Galaxy. Besides soccer there was another sport that interested Romeo and that sport was wrestling. It first interested him when he started watching it on TV everyday after school. It was quickly growing on him. He told his father that he wanted to become a wrestler when he was older. His father put him down and told him that school and soccer would his center of attention. Romeo was angered by this statement but listened to his father.
When Romeo had turned 10, his father had changed his mind and decided not to choose his son's future but to let him choose on his own and make his own decisions. So his father enrolled him into wrestling classes. His mother also agreed with this and picked him up everyday after school and brought him to wrestling class. Romeo had been a quick learner and was considered to be a top student in the class. For three years he continued with the class with every six months it became more and more grueling. Even with that, Romeo continued to push himself so that he become better and to become a professional wrestler some day.
At 18 Romeo had started college and joined the university wrestling team. Here he excelled in classes studying athletic training and also excelled in his matches going undefeated his freshman year. The next year he did the same thing winning many medals also. But also while he was in college doing his thing, he went to a local gym about ten minutes from the campus every day. This is where he learned all his brawler fighting style which he kept away from the mat. This he kept a secret from his parents and all his friends. He wanted extra work for himself because he heard about a business that was looking for wrestlers. Being there could have sparked his whole career. So he continued with school, wrestling, work, and the local gym brawler training. He had a lot on his plate but he was making it through.
Four years later Romeo graduated from college with a degree in athletic training. He had also set the school record for the most wins in the four years. Romeo felt great about himself being a good wrestler and having brawling skills on the side. He thought that this would be the time to join that business but then once it was time to sign the papers he choked. He just couldn't do it. He wanted more training. He didn't think that he was ready enough to start. He went back home to California and told his father that he wanted more training. This is when his father bought his a plane ticket to Europe, Rome to be exact to train with the best.
Excited and ready to train, Romeo packed his bags and left for Rome. Rome is where he had gotten his major technical wrestling training. He had learned so much from the Roman wrestlers. He had stayed there for a year and it was the most greuling year of his life. He woke at five every morning to begin training that ended at seven at night. It truly was intense but Romeo put in the hard work and got a lot out of it. So with the great technical skill he had learned put together with his brawling style had made him somewhat of a force. After spending the year in Rome, Romeo return to the states. He continued he training because now he believed that he was ready for a wrestling career. His mother, father and sister all believed in him and wanted to see him succeed. This is when Romeo found out about the Xtraordinary Wrestling Association. He signed with the business and now it was time to work even harder.
So now, the career of Romeo Davis begins...
Romeo would then make his debut at the XWA pay per view known as March Madness. Here he would wrestle the man known as Tank. The match was well fought for both competitors but Romeo had won the match in the end. He had won his first career match in an actual business. Romeo would then go on to defeat A.J. Ryder and Steve Toreno improving his record to 3-0 to begin his career. His first loss would then come at the pay per view known as Vendetta to Bryan Jasta with the XWA National Championship on the line. After losing the match it really didn't Romeo as he wanted to step up his game. Soon after at the MAYDAY pay per view, Romeo would go onto defeat the well known Godlieve Van Der Sar.
