Bio:
There are many big names in wrestling. But there's only one Jayson Jones. The ORIGINAL "King Of Controversy", no man in wrestling truly encompasses the "title" as Jay-J. Since his beginning in WWA, to his dominance in UPW, to his rise and fall in WTF, VWE and LXW, Jones has maintained one thing throughout his career, his kill instinct. Jones despite being a journeymen the last 2 years, wrestling for TNB before making his way to XWA, has a win-loss record that reads like a who's who of the industry, including such names as Nate Michaels, Jon Payne, Brent Starr, Jason Youngblood, Blaze, & Dru Nedermeyer. From being a key cog in the at one time most dominant stable in wrestling, The Familia, to the present day super stable hes part "The Main Event" Of UPW, Jones has known nothing but success in his career, even if "higher ups" feel threatened by him.
Of the two most famous "Students" Of Vincent Fate, Jay-J embodies the raw, uncensored nature of his mentor, often times in his career being compared to Fate in terms of his penchant for brutality, as well as "Telling it like it his", which has historically been the reason why outside of WWA and UPW, TNB was the only company Jones himself sites as being a "fit for him" before XWA, as it's well documented the long standing friendship/Rivalry he's had with Chris Lionheart, who was instrumental in Jones signing to XWA. His time in XWA has seen Jones continue his winning ways, up until he crossed paths with on of XWA's top superstars, Scott O'Dell, who uus most noted for having a heated rivalry with Main Event stable mate Ryan Fierhart. It started in a 6 man Hardcore Tornado tag match, of which O'Dell pinned Jones to secure the win for his team. It would be at the next PPV following that match Xgames I that Jones would meet one on one with O'Dell. O'Dell proved to be as good as advertised, as he did what so many big name talents had failed to do, beat Jayson Jones. A fact that didn't sit well with Jay-J.
2008 will see a more focused, driven, and yes...uncut Jones return to XWA. His eyes firmly focused on not only settling up with O'Dell, but perhaps even a run at a title or two. Who knows. One thing is for certain, very few men can call themselves a "King" and have it mean something. Jones is one of those men. The one and ONLY "King Of New York".
Anything else is bootleg.
