In 24 hours time the world’s eyes would be affixed on Newark, New Jersey. The XWA after 3 months of rest, training and relaxation would finally kick off its second season, and from what it was that Amber was hearing and seeing as she stopped by One Penn Plaza, there was a serious air of excitement around. This was going to be the first time though that she would visit her longtime mentor in her new administrative position and there were a few things that needed to be talked about.
For more than 5 years now Sarah Warfield was Amber’s pillar of strength. All at once she was her teacher, her big sister and the mother that she hadn’t had since she was 18 years old. Besides her Aunt Floriana and her boyfriend of almost a full year now in Keith Wyle, Sarah was the closest thing to family she’s ever had and now that woman for all practical purposes was her new boss. That could make for a compromising situation at times, so that’s why she needed to see her.
The elevator arrives on the floor of Sarah’s office and she steps off with her coat in her arms. Hoping that Sarah was there she makes her way to the door of her office directly as there seemed to be no secretary at the moment. She knocks and waits for an answer.
