Not too soon after their ride up to the 49th floor, both Sonya and Kristal had made their way to the office of who would be their new boss, Diamond Commissioner Sarah Warfield.
Still got those jitters there, Kristal? She asks jokingly to her new acquaintance. Now, Soyna was bit on the nervous side herself, being lat for her appointment and all but she's much too tough to have actually let it show the way that Kristal was on her way on the elevator.

The two had reached the secretary in front of Ms. Warfield's door and as they did the one thing that dawned to Kristal was why did everyone have to have a secretary? Now she wasn't the corporate type so she really didn't understand, was it really that hard to be able to keep track of things by yourself to where you had to hire someone to do it for you? Random thoughts like that she found were good to make situations like this less likely to drive her nuts.
Um...just a little bit yeah. We're here though, so I guess there's nothing left to do now but go in right?
That was obvious. Kristal makes way to said secretary to announce their arrival.
We're here to see Ms. Warfield? I'm Kristal and she's Sonya. Should we wait for her to come and get us?
"I'll let her know that you're here now, ladies. Just one moment..."
She dials up the phone in front of and notifies the commissioner of the Diamond Division now. Only a matter of time before they are all face to face now.

Stepping out of her new office, Sarah takes a look at the two ladies. Both are them were in great shape physically, certainly not too bad on the eyes as far as the male fanbase goes, but of course it wasn't all looks that was the reason in which she scouted them. She takes a slight glimpse at her watch and then shoots a raised eyebrow in the direction of Sonya Robbins.
You're late Ms. Robbins...

This was the time to hit the panic button now. As soon as though words left Ms. Warfield's lips she was in instant grovel mode.
I'm so sorry Ms. Warfield, it was traffic! You know how crazy it gets on the roads here in the afternoon, and the subways? Forget about it! She stopped for a second-did she just say "forget about it?" Not even a whole day in this town and it was starting to rub off on her.
I'm sooooooo sorry Ms. Warfield, I swear to you this will not happen again. Just give me a chance, please?

She was sincere. Desperate, but sincere. Besides, Sarah really wasn't going to send her away, she's too nice for that-and Carmella would kill her if she let new talent go to waste. What does this look like-Connecticut?
Relax, Sonya...nothing's changed here. Oh yeah, please call me Sarah-there's no need for formalities here. Step into my office ladies, I don't see a reason why I can discuss things with you at the same time.
Stepping to the side Sarah shows the way towards her office for the two ladies to enter. Moments later they're all seated and she starts to process things.
Now I guess I'll start with you Sonya...I've seen you work before and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with what you've pulled off in Philly. Those girls are pretty extreme, and being a Hardcore Champion kind of takes it to another level. Now...do you think you can bring that kind of extreme to the Diamond Division?

I can sure as hell try! She smiles to Sarah in response. I want to try and be as versatile as possible here, actually...you know...see how I can stack up in different environments against different opponents, but if I have to get a little grimy then I will, no problem with that! These Diamonds you have here are some top-notch wrestlers and I'm just itching for the chance to test myself against them. Does that answer the question Sarah?

More than enough actually. She's got enthusiasm, that's for sure. Moving along here, I'm sure that you're both aware that XWA travels the globe for our fans. It's a whole lot different from being housed in one city like where you were before, Sonya. That said, in both of your cases it's going to take a conscious commitment to get ahead in the league. Between the traveling and the competition and whatever else you might get yourselves into *giggle*...do you think you can go the distance for 9 full months? Both of you can feel free to answer that question.

It kind of dawned on Sonya now that Kristal hadn't spoken a word since Sarah appeared. Might as well get her into the conversation!
Kristal, I let you answer first.

Talk about being put on the spot.
Thanks a lot there, red. OK...just be natural, it's not as bad as you thought it was going to be...
Well...I think I can get accustomed to the whole traveling thing myself. As long as it isn't boring. I'm looking forward to the whole experience actually, it's going to be like a big adventure all the way through! I'm actually pretty excited about it now that I come to think of it Sarah. I'm not as experienced as most but I'm certainly willing to learn all that I can about this business along the way.
There...that sounded pretty impressive didn't it?

The traveling is gonna be the only thing different for me...I'm actually looking forward to it. Sonya adds. I've always wanted to see the world anyway. London, Paris, Japan, Spain...even other cities too, been a while since I've been out west. I'll get to do that and get some action in the ring too! Best of both worlds.

Well, okay then. Sounds to me like you two are going to fit in pretty well here. I suppose that the two of you already know how things work around here, so there's no nee for me to get into too much detail about what it is that is expected of you because you know that I have high expectation for ALL the Diamonds in 2008.
You two are going to be a part of something that was great to begin with, that thanks in part to your efforts as well as mine will have the potential to blow anything close out of the water. It's a very exciting time right now here in the XWA.
Now both of your contracts have already been worked out and finalized, so all you'll need to do is get yourself acquainted with your colleagues and start preparing for 2008. If you wish you can even make an appearance or two in one of our farm shows that've recently started, or the upcoming Live World Tour, to get yourself some exposure. The sky's the limit here, and we've made it so that it's not necessary to just sit back and wait until the new season starts, unless you want to of course, nothing wrong with that either.

It was surprising how kind-hearted and courteous Sarah Warfield actually was. Kristal had followed wrestling for a brief time now and had heard much about the woman so she was expected a no-nonsense, take no prisoners type, but was in the presence of the opposite. It all put her at ease.
I have to say that I'm very excited about all of this myself, Sarah. I'm just so happy to be getting this opportunity to be here. I have all intentions of taking advantage of this and making you proud, making the entire company proud actually. I know it's going to be a bit rough trying to fit in, but I'm totally committed to making it happen. You can count on me!

She smiles in response to Kristal's obvious exuberance. There was something about this young girl that reminded her a lot of herself when she started in this business. It made Sarah feel good about her chances to do just that.
I will, Kristal. I'll be counting on both of you just like I'll be counting on every other Diamond who's here or is down the pipe. In the meantime, know that my door will be open to all the girls, so if there's anything that you need, don't be shy OK?

Absolutely!
Kristal is the first to hop up from her chair and extend her hand out to her new boss.
Thank you so much for this again, Sarah. You won't be disappointed.

Graciously Sarah accepts Kristal's handshake.
The pleasure is all mine, Kristal. Take care of yourself and I'll be in touch with you soon...
