Just figured I would be the one to throw this out there (oh and erm...hi by the way , highschool is nice ), but whats the deal with finishers going to be in 08? Are current members going to have dibs on their finisher of choice or are all the moves up for grabs when the game launches? Cuz if they are well...I already have my two thought up

Current members will have a first crack at the available finishers in SVR2008. This will be the only chance that a member will be able to change their finisher if they choose to do so. Once the season begins nobody will able change or alter their finishers, so it'll be important to pick one that's EFFECTIVE as opposed to cool looking.
You should already know that pinning moves and corners moves are pretty much useless and I doubt that the AI of the new game will be improved enough for that to be any different, so you've been warned people: you'll have a chance to change moves, but it will be your ONLY chance, so choose wisely.

There are no reserved moves here, if their were that move would be the property of Sebastien Gallas. Based on the amount of moves available in 2008 we will continue to have a "sharing" policy here, but there will be a cap of members for one move similar to the "one male-one female" rule we had at the beginning of this season.

And BTW-do not post here making claims for moves. Thank you.

And BTW#2-there IS the possibility of us reserving moves based on seniority within the league...those with longer tenure will have the first crack at ANYTHING new. If they choose to keep what they have (which includes the RKO as it is Joey Curtis' finisher...who has been with us since day one), then nobody else will be able to use that move. Nobody.
This is all conducive to how many moves are available in the game. Any further information will be passed on when there is information to give.

Wait, did you change your mind on how finishers are working now ??
BTW: This has to do with that previous private question that I was talkin to you about....

Here is the definitive "for now" answer as far as the finishers policy goes.
FOR NOW-Each XWA member is entitled to the finisher that they have currently. That will be what you have to start out with.
THEN-The first crack at new moves will go to those members of the league who's finishers are either not in the game anymore OR have proven to be ineffective (no-sells, non-compact pinning moves, etc.)
THEN-every other member can choose a new move as they see fit so long as it's not being used by and existing SENIOR member of the XWA-and by senior I mean active for at least 5 of the going on 9 months we've been doing this, so moves such as Sweet Chin Music 1 and the RKO will not be accessible just because you want to switch to them.
What it is I mentioned before about this change being permanent applies in both cases.
That is how the selection process will take shape regardless of the other outcomes here, which will be:
a) Single moves can be shared by one male & one female ONLY (this will happen if there are substantially MORE moves available in 2008) or
b) Single moves can be shared, but Kaos and I will have the right to DENY a move be used by a member if it's deemed an unnecessary change, ie: those who call "dibs", hint hint. Doing so only shows that you want the move because you want the move, and IF you want the move you need to have a better reason for that. (this will be enforced if the move amount is the same or just slightly more than what it is now)
This again is the "for now" answer, it can and will be changed if necessary based on what the game offers up. We will try to be as flexible as possible (this was mentioned in a staff "meeting"), but personal preference is not a valid selection criteria in this issue. The decision will be made that benefits the league as a whole, not just those here but those who will come as well.

There's a more official ruling here if you haven't checked it out yet. A fine question to ask.
