Another poll. Yay. This one though has the potential of greatly changing the landscape of the XWA. We've kinda gone 50/50 on it us staffers have today, so now we're putting it up to you. Do you want XWA to be an intergender league? We have at least two new proposals based on the overall response to this decision.
INTERGENDER- *The World and Diamond titles will remain the top championships for each gender, contenders selected based on RP ability, activity and or/admin approval as always.
*The National & Pure titles will join the Tag Belts in being intergender belts with more stricter eligibility requirements for them, such as placement on the PowerPlayers and the BigBoard. *No decision has been made on the XGen Title yet*
*The Pearl Champion will be retired, crediting Sumya as being the last holder of the belt.
DIVISIONAL- *A proposed Pure title equivalent will be introduced in 2008 for the Diamond Division to join the Diamond & Pearl Championships.
That's the choice. Vote & give feedback. I'll give it my self-imposed yet ineffective 7 day vacation to tally things up and a decision will be made before season's start.

14 reads and I'm the 1st to comment? Why am I always the sacrificial lamb here? Anywayz, I'm gonna vote no on this one. Part of what makes XWA so cool is having all the different ways to make a name for yourself here. Going inter-gender would totally throw that out of whack. And call me sexist (Ya' think???) But I don't ever see Punchy fighting a chick. Is it a closed minded statement? Hell yea. But I'm entitled to my opinions. Adding a new title to the Diamond division would be better, since it would give the ladies something else to shoot for, and maybe even get a few of them to try and out shine Ashley Diamond. Maybe...

I can't make a vote because I'm biased to the situation having heard both points from 3X and Kaos, but I will sound off a bit. It shouldn't make a difference whether or not contenders for title are male or female. That's really one of the major point of this. The other major point is that going co-ed may increase the storyline potential and interactivity between the sexes which in turn boosts up productivity. It's not like you're going to have fewer female-female matches all of a sudden. It simply opens up a new avenue for interaction. That's all I've gotta say about it. Carry on folks.
To bottom line it, I'm neutral. I'll go for it either way it does, but there are valid points either or.

When you think of it, It kinda does make for fewer Female To Female matches on account that to be honest, there isn't much female to female interaction to begin with. You've got the Ashley/Heather/Bianca/Nicole/Michelle thing, you've got Sumya/Chloe, you've got whatever will come of Mari/Chanelle, and that's really about it. Before XWA goes with the party mix, I think more female against female rivalries need to be created first. That's not going to happen if females are also trying to jockey with males as well. The Diamond division needs to grow a little bit more, not in numbers, but in character depth first and foremost before we go sending them in the ring with men. And that can only happen when they're butting heads with each other first.

Don't be shy people. Speak out! We need to know what ya'll think of this. Nothing will be held against you even if you're undecided. It's just something that the staff would like to know what you think cuz we're torn on the subject ourselves, lol.

No.
THis would be considered something along the lines of statutory rape and mysoginism. It failed with Jarrett. It failed with Lawler. It fails with you.

Since this is what I consider my primary account, I'll vote with this one. While the fed I came from initially was an inter-gender fed, it was also a text based fed, which you figure fits more of the structure of an inter-gender format. As far as XWA goes, I tend to agree with Punch. This place has a different feel because it's above all things realistic. That's one of the alluring points that made me decide to join. The structure was based in reality. The storylines might shy from reality a bit, but it's all under the guise of a realistic wrestling organization. To further a point made by Punch, I think the Diamond Division needs to solidify itself more before Inter-Gender Competition is even considered. The ladies need to be able to stand on there own as characters. And I think having them facing the men takes away from the prestige of the Diamonds. Just a side point to add, the meeting Ms. Warfield had with a majority of the Diamonds. In it, it stressed there would be more competition between the females characters. As in seeing them in more exciting style matches. It takes away from the luster and believability when if it's at the same time as men. MAn versus woman in a 1st Blood match is barely even believable. Woman versus woman in a first blood match is "WOW, Those two chicks just beat the hell out of each other!!!". Big difference IMHO.

Pretty much says it all. I don't really think it'd be a good idea for intergender. Having the two gender divisions seems to work out fine.

I gotta roll with the popular vote on this one, lord knows I don't want to face someone like Michelle Marx for the Pure Title any time.

Though the storyline potential can be huge, I think there could possibly be a lot of slaughters, know what I mean? Don't like the idea.
