The poll of the week now:
I'm sure most of you have found through your own tests that CPU controlled wrestlers climb out of the ring a lot. A LOT. Almost unnecessarily at times even. It's not like 2007 where most of the time the opponent follows outside or even when they do what we call the "Ring Out Dance" where one gets back in the ring just as the other gets out, and vice versa and vice versa again.
It's monotonous to the point where we're opening this poll. Basically except for matches where ring-outs are a requirement (Ladder, TLC, Hardcore, etc.) we are considering keeping all of the action in the ring this year. While it might negate a few offensive moves, namely the hotspots out of the ring, again...these tactics are rarely used in normal matches anyway in addition to the fact that stamina regeneration is much more rapid now to the point where the CPU doesn't even step out to regain that, so it's not like you'll be losing much all in all.
IMO you'll lose a bit, but you'll gain a lot, that being more action in your matches and fewer intermission, but that's just my opinion. What might yours be? Sound off.
To recap, Ring Outs would be turned off for certain matches where going out of the ring is deemed not really essential to match play-most notably singles matches.

I say turn ring outs off. It does take away from the eb & flow of matches have the AI just leave the ring instead of following up. This will also add some pop to those with the high flyer style, as with ring outs off, I've noticed that they use high risk moves even more frequently. Granted it takes way from the outside high risk moves, but we'll see plenty of that in the X-Gen specialty matches when they start popping up.

Also as a plus (or minus if you will) such a thing would also negate the spamming of the Strong Irish Whip by Powerhouse types-at least in standard matches. A bonus IMO, anything to make things that much more balanced.

I gotta agree it's a pain in the ass seeing them going out side the ring every 2 to 5 mins.

Off.
The amount of times my CAWs seem to go outside for shits and giggles pisses me off.

I think it's safe to say that the choice is obvious. Outside of matches where ringouts are needed (Hardcore, Ladder Matches, TLC, LMS, etc.) All standard matches (Singles, Triple Threat, Fatal 4 Way, Tag & Tornado Tag) will have no ring outs. Should make for much more interesting and compelling matches in the long run.

If this isn't a unanimous vote I don't know what it is. Well, I think we can close the poll here officially now. Ring Outs will be turned off in XWA2008 unless needed. That's the final word right there.
