Calling a Champ out... (Pure Championship)

XWA's "Only the Strong". One of the most anticipated PPVs of XWA this year. It would seem that tonight, someone would attempt to challenge for a title. The sounds of Susperia's "More" hit the sound system, signaling the arrival of this challenger. It wasn't long before the 6'11" Testudo stepped out onto the stage, ready in his ring attire, but lacking his handwrap. Wasting no time, the South African giant walked down the ramp, heading towards the ring to issue out his challenge. "Which championship would it be?" is what most of the audience is probably thinking, as Testudo slid into the ring and got onto his feet, spinning around to view the mass audience in attendance. Signaling for a mic at the sound crew, Testudo reached out his hand, in which a sound techy threw one at the giant. With simple ease, Testudo managed to gain a grip, bringing it down to his face. As "More" eventually died down to silence, Testudo took one more look at the European fans before addressing them.

"Ciao L'Italia!"

A cheap pop. Well, wouldn't you give one to a guy who addressed your country in your language? Nodding his head, Testudo continued.

"Hah, I love you Europeans. You guys produce awesome stuff. Awesome food, awesome bands, awesome wrestlers..."[/b]

The fans cheered even more. A little too much recognition.

"Anyway, I'm here for a purpose. I'm still a little high over my victory against P.o.V in that brutal match last TakeDown, so I'm calling out a champion. A champion I wish to challenge for his title."[/b]

Well, Testudo's so far cleared up that he isn't gunning for any of the female titles.

"Obviously I can't challenge Keith Wyle, due to being tied up with Kris Cade, and I can't challenge Class Act due to lacking a partner, so..."[/b]

With this amount of hype, the audience expected Testudo to challenge Bryan Jasta.

"Jimmy, I'm calling you out!"[/b]

But of course. Who could forget about the PURE Champion?

"That's right Jimmy. I'm challenging you for your PURE title, right here at Only the Strong!"[/b]

Despite it not being the National Title, another title match would presumably be added to the card.

"So, why don't you scoot your ass down to this ring with the title around your waist and accept my challenge?"[/b]

Lowering the microphone, Testudo stared at the stage, awaiting Jimmy's arrival.

As Jimmy's new theme "Famous" by Puddle Of Mudd plays, the Pure Champ makes his way into the arena, his first appearance since winning back the title one month ago, he pauses on the set to take a look at the old guy that had called him out. Jimmy makes the walk down to ringside and slides in. Supplied with a mic, Jimmy looks at his challenger and answers the call.

So I was sitting backstage wondering if someone was actually going to knuckle up and fight me tonight, and then a little birdie whispered in my ear that you were probably going to be that guy. Jimmy thinks cool. Because Jimmy's always down for an easy night. Light work. And you??? You're DEFINITELY light work. I mean look at this guy...

He motions to the crowd.

First off, he's old as dust. Jimmy doesn't like beating on old people, but hell...Jimmy needs to get paid. Jimmy likes money, but Jimmy can't get any unless he works. Secondly, You said it yourself, you've only won ONE match. But what the hell, Jimmy's been gettin' his ass kicked all year, so I may as well "give back". So Jimmy thinks servin' up a nice slice of humble pie to old greeny will do pretty damn good. Jimmy likes pie...oops...we're in Italy, so I'll re-phrase that a bit. Jimmy likes PIZZA pie...mmmmmmmmm, tasty. But Jimmy likes being a CHAMPION a bit more. So Jimmy's gonna fight you, BEAT you, and go home. Yea...that sounds good.[/font]

Testudo merely frowned down on Jimmy. Being taunted is one thing, but being called "old"? That is taking it too far. Rather miffed at what just happened, Testudo (at his best efforts) calmly responds to Jimmy.

"Okay, first of all, have you ever gotten to the point without having your mind trail off into a different station? Plus, you think at 43, I'm old? OLD? Boy, I look, AND feel about 25 here! Hell, I'll probably end up continuing to wrestle by the time I reach the 70s! Ric Flair hasn't got shit on me!"[/b]

The banterfest seems to have started.

"But enough about me. Jimmy, that title you carry around you isn't staying with you for much longer. Whilst no-one else has taken the liberty to take the challenge, I'm grabbing the bull by the horns and breaking its neck. When the bell rings to start, and rings to finish, I will be standing, taking the Pure title with me back to the States."[/b]

Jimmy gives him his typical smirk before replying.

Wrestling until you're 70??? Dude, you'll do a hip toss and BREAK a hip. Not sayin' that that can't happen anyway. Seein' your last match, it looked like you were gonna need an oxygen tank after it. Did you win? Yep. Was it convincing?


Ehhhhhhhhhh...not really.


But Jimmy never turns down the chance to show off. You've got faith in yourself, which is cool. BUT...and yes there's a but...If you think I'm just gonna wlak in here and let this belt slip outta my hands, to a guy who in the last 4 months has amassed ONE win, you're mental. Jimmy's not losin' to you.

Jimmy waits for his reply.

"Hah, you've got spirit kid, I'll give you that. But I'll most likely end up giving you the same treatment I gave P.o.V: a total beatdown."

Testudo merely ended that with a confident smile. He stared down at the smaller Jimmy, waiting for him to hopefully end this mere confrontation.
