Through the course of the Solstice show we are suddenly treated to the sight of two lovely latin ladies as Fabiola stands once again with Marisol Cardinale.
And I'm here tonight with the lovely Marisol...you asked for the time to speak, the question now is why?
The answer is simple, Fabby. I'm here tonight to speak to one woman...the current Diamond Champion Heather Fierhart. You see, she and I have some history together. My first professional match was against her and even though I won that match it wasn't her which I pinned to do so. The very next week I tempted fate and challenged her one on one, and on that night I was beaten soundly.
From that point forward marked a change in me. From that point forward I had a goal and a task to meet. I had to become a better competitor if I was to be able stand tall against the greats in this business such as her. Since that night, all the way until last week in Detroit, Heather Fierhart beat every woman who challenged. Seeing her be pinned for the first time this year suddenly awakened something new within me as well. It showed me the fact that Heather is in fact human after all. She can be beaten if someone has the drive and the skill to do so. There are a only a handful of wrestlers on this side of the globe who have those qualities, and most of them are here on the XWA roster. I would like to think that I am now somewhere high on that list.
Since that night I have only gotten better and better. I won Tag Team gold by handing some "GrandSlam" wrestler and a certified "Avalanche" a sound defeat. I've won not just one, but two battle royal matches here and beat some great talent in doing so. There's just one thing though that I failed to do in the XWA and that is win the Diamond Championship. I was beaten months ago by Ashley Diamond, but at that point I was still learning my trade, honing my skills. Right now, I can say that I'm in the best ring shape of my life...I can be a force to be reckoned with here in the XWA as my last match against Zoli surely proved. What better way to do that than to kill two birds with one stone? Not only gain retribution for losing to Heather those many months ago, but also retribution for winning the Diamond Championship as well.
It's a tall order to fill, but I'm as ready as I will ever be to do it, right here tonight.
