Days before Soul Survivor and one thing was sure, the XWA audience hadn’t seen the last of Cosette Grace and Addison Grey. Call it a hunch that the two women just wouldn’t let this go or call it the fact that “Prisoner of Society” by the Living End was playing in the arena and Cosette was standing on the stage. As usual she’s smartly dressed in one of her black business suits, this being important work and all. She steps down the ramp with purpose, still attempting to play to the crowd as she is editorialized upon.
Roach: Coming off of another confrontation with “Lady Lightning” Addison Grey last Takedown. Let’s just say it did not go well for Miss Grace.
BuZZ: That was tactful. Listen, I still think this new girl Addison Grey is loopy, Roach, but Cosette Grace couldn’t buy a win against her either time they’ve faced off. You’ve gotta figure she’s getting into do or die mode here.
Roach: Looks like we’re about to find out now.
It wasn’t a perfect toss as Cosette stands in the ring for a moment looking out into the crowd. It seemed some of them were still pulling for her to finally get on track, any track. Content with that fact she picks up the microphone from outside and gets to it.
Tonight I have to stand here and accept reality. Addison Grey made me look like a rank amateur even before her first match here. And at Takedown I didn’t get the job done. That’s twice now I’ve tried to beat you and you’ve gotten fair honest victories over me, Addison Grey. And how does that make me feel? Ashamed, disappointed, unsatisfied, maybe just a little angry, but certainly not defeated.
She raises her finger and nods, drawing a little bit more applause from the eager pre-pay per view audience.
I for one don’t want this mother business to go on for a moment longer than it has to, since quite frankly it’s a little unnerving. I can stand losing, but I can’t stand the humiliation and come Soul Survivor I’m going to make it stop.
Another hold and release as she makes sure everyone knows she means it this time.
It may not mean anything to anyone, but the woman on the mic but Addison, I want one more shot and I want to make it interesting. It didn’t escape my notice during our matches that despite being touched in the head you’re an outstanding technical wrestler, and as long as I’m still employed I’d like to think of myself as one too. So then Ms. Grey if you’ll indulge me just one more time I’d like to face you one on one at Soul Survivor in a Submission match. Then we can really see who gets to play the mommy.
An unusually devilish smile crosses her lips as she leans over the ropes facing the ramp. And why wouldn’t it based on what she just heard. Waiting to hear if it was official or not.
