Hello once again fans of the most Xtraordinary fed on the planet, it is I...the fabulous Fabiola! Tonight I have in studio a very, very special guest. She's well...what more can I say, she's the woman who signs the payychecks! She is the President of the XWA, the one and only Carmella Blackheart.
Welcome, Ms. Blackheart, it's an honor to have you take time from your busy schedule to join us here. I guess I'll start with a simple question. The first season of the XWA is officially half way through, what is your personal assessment of things at this point?

Well, first of let me say that the pleasure is mine, Fab. To be able to sit and address the fans AND superstars of this company is a great opportunity, and please...call me Carmella.
Now, half way through the season...I'd have to say that we are doing pretty damn well. Many nay-sayers out there believed that we wouldn't have lasted this long from the slow start in February. They even had the gaul to call it an "experiment". Now, we're bigger and better than any place out there that I know of, and things can only get better. We have the full support of of fans, the full cooperation of our superstars and each and every week the match card fills up and subsequentally so do the seats of whatever venue we step into.
Personally, I knew it would happen, the XWA standing tall as it is right now...it was never an "if" question, but a "when" question. We are simply put "The Big Show" right now. Now that we are here though, it's not the time to sit pretty and brag about it. We have stay on top and I have all the faith in the world that every man and woman on the roster is going to work their ass off to keep us where we are right now.

Well, here's a question that I know that YOU know was going to asked eventually. What is you're opinion on this supposed TNB "Invasion"?

Hmmm...you're right. I did see this one coming. TNB was a fine company while it was running. It produced many notable names like Shia Storm and Genesis and of course Chris Lionheart, whom I've had as a creative consultant for the XWA since Rodolphe and I opened the company. There is no denying the contributions that they have made to this industry and now with TNB closing it doors, many of their stars have jumped onto the XWA bandwagon rather go elsewhere.
Unlike other places, we try to respect the accomplishments past and present of our roster, but at the same time they have to realize that this is not their old stomping grounds. This is a whole new playground, or should I say battleground, with warriors from all over, old and new...striving to be very best. They can sit on what it is that they have done in the past, or they can focus on what it is they can do in the present.
Sadly, a majority of them choose to do the former than the latter, but in any case, no matter what transpires in the ring, the bottom line is that the logo on their paycheck doesn't say TNB, it says XWA...so no matter what it is that they say or they think, they are under MY umbrella, therefore there is but one dominant name in sports entertainment, and whether they like it or not, they are a part of THAT now.

Spoken like a true professional, Carmella. So tell us, exactly what is it that you look for in an XWA superstar? I know that many have passed through your doors looking for a spot in the "Big Leagues" as people are calling the place now.

What I look for can be summed up in one simple word, Fabs...RESPECT. Respect for this business, respect for this company and respect for every man and woman who punches in and helps to make this company the best of the best. Sure we have our fair share of cocky trashtalkers who think they are the best thing to happen to wrestling since the instant replay, but each one of them know that while they are here, they not only represent themselves, they represent the XWA.
It's all give and take, we give-they take, they give-we take, and thus the balance is maintained. There has been a time or two that we hanve had to lay down the law and show people exactly who it is that is running this show in the end, but generally there is and understanding that we can't operate with out them, and that they would be unemployed or working for second tier feds who DON'T respect their talents without us.
I hate problem children. There were plenty of them in the last company that I worked at, you should know you were there as well. There are some that think that just because they have "talent" that they are more important than the establishment. Well...to that end I quote NBA Draft pick Kevin Durant-
"Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard."
What that means to me is that no matter how good you think that you are, each and every night you step onto the place of business, be it a court, a field or a ring, you have to work to PROVE that you are as good as you say you are. Those who put in that work are the truly talented ones. I have people here who can just as much entertain the fans with a 6 minute promo as people elsewhere who have to take 15 minutes to do it. When you're good...you can capture an audience's attention as long as you want. When you're GREAT...you don't have to.
Just a little pearl of wisdom to all of those who are looking to break in, this is the place to do it. So long as you have the respect, you will go far in this company, and furthermore, this business.

Wow, these are some deep answers, Carmella. Tell me your take on the coveted XWA Diamond Division, being touted right now as the pinnacle of female wrestling in the West...

It is what it is, isn't it? The Diamonds of the XWA are the best at what they do, hands down, bar none. These girls...wow. They prove that beauty can be tough as nails each and every night...did I pick a good name for them or what? The fact that we now have the women of TNB on board as well only makes the division even greater than it already was. We don't have one dominant with everyone else trying to climb up to that level, we have a whole grid of lovely ladies who on any given night can steal the show. It doesn't matter if it's Ashley or Angel, or even Heather...any Diamond on my roster can hold that Diamond Championship high and proud, because the level of talent...and yes, I do mean TALENT...of our Diamonds are above and beyond anything anywhere else...period.
Where else can you see Zoli, or Kimberly Angelos or that wild and crazy HellCat? Only here in XWA...do I sound like I'm bragging a bit, Fabiola? Hmm Hmm...

Um...just a bit there, Carmella. Just a bit...
Well, I'd like to switch gears and go onto some more personal questions, and I'd like to start with your business partner Rodolphe Gallas. There has been speculation of a long standing feud between him and his own son, Sebastien over control of his Gallas Global Enterprises. Any thoughts?

Well, we have a unique system here that allows for wrestlers not necessarily under contract to wrestle in the XWA. I've seen Sebastien twice in action, but I never really went into too much detail as to finding out why it is that he and his father are at odds so much. It does affect the business end of this company in several ways, but my hands are tied in the matter. All I can do is hope that the issue is resolved without too much conflict.

Now onto the meaty question. There have been sightings of you with former LXW CEO Vincent Fate over the past couple of weeks. We all know of the "social" history between you and the man many know as Riot. Are you...trying to get him to make his presence known in the XWA?

As stated before...if he ever did want to step into our ring, he could just as easily do so, but no...I can tell you that right now he's not necessarily interested in dealings involving wrestling at the present moment. I've even offered him a position on our executive board, but he declined.
Truth is, the only person who knows what his intentions are is him, and if he doesn't tell me...then he isn't telling anyone.

Well, that's about all the questions I have for you, Carmella. Any final thoughts for the audience?

Just a heartfelt and very gracious thanks to each and everyone of you for making the first 6 months of the XWA so special. In the end it's the fans that we are all in this business for, and I'm proud to say that the fans are the ones who have put us in the position that we're in right now. As I said before, we here at XWA are not going to sit on our laurels. We're going to push, we're going to claw and scratch as we have done for the first half, and do it even better in the second. Look forward to events such as our official Tournament, ONLY THE STRONG, as well as what will easily be one of the most brutal title encounters of all time, The "Devil's Playground" in October at the DEVIL'S NIGHT PPV, the day before Halloween in fact!
As you can see, we have many exciting shows for you, and you can trust and believe that the superstars of the XWA will work hard to make them that much more exciting.
Thank you for your support of "The New Day", and thank you Fabiola for having me here.

And thank you for being so candid with us all on your views and opinion of this fine establish and all that's going on in it.
That's all the time we have tonight everyone. Until next we meet...um...I have to come up with some clever closing phrase.
Can someone get Jon Payne on the phone, he's got a million of them doesn't he? This has been a presentation of the Xtraordinary Wrestling Association. For more, log onto our website, the1XWA.net.
