The crowd finds itself surprised by the sudden appearance of Sabastien Gallas, XWA's flambioant GM. He makes his way to the ring alone, in his hands a fancy black suitcase. Climbing into the ring, he beckons for a mic and dismisses the ring announcer.
It's is clear that in the short time of my taking the helm of this company from my father, that people have labeled me a "tyrant". A "bad apple" if you will. But I ask of you all, why? What makes me so different then say, Donald Trump. Or perhaps Mark Cuban. Or The Sultan of Brunai. All wealthy. All influential. All VERY familair with the ways of war. And that IS what the world of Business is. A WARZONE. I could never expect any of you minimum wage workers to graps what my vision of XWA is. So I'll spare myself the grief trying to explain in detail.
Classic Sabastien. His words incite boos from the crowd.
You see, men like Jon Payne, Joey Curtis, Kayn...Adam Devlin. They make things hard for business. Because they feel they're ABOVE the radar. What the fail to realize however, is that at the end of the day, they're EMPLOYEES and I'm the EMPLOYER. But unlike any other employer who'd have fired the lot of them, ESPECIALLY Curtis and Devlin by now. I choose t let them enjoy there small victories. Because you see, in the end, the war will inevitably be won by me. It's just that simple.
He looks down at the suitcase...
But my reason for being out here is not them. No no. It's to prove a point. And that point...I am kind. No, I truly am. You all peg me a tyrant, when in fact, I AM a generous man. And I intend on proving that right here, right now.
He raises the suitcase and pops it open, revealing it's jaw dropping contents.
Zoom in close, Mr. Camera man. What you're looking at is a check for $500,000. More money then many of you will see in 10 years. An XWA superstar is paid anywhere in between 10-30,000 per show. Champions make 40-70,000 a show, so try to grasp how much money is on this one little piece of paper. Now I bet you're wondering what I intend on doing with this suit case. Allow me to show you.
Buzz: WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Ladies and gents, that's HALF A MILLION FREAKIN' DOLLARS THERE!!!
Gallas snaps his finger, and a wire comes down from the rafters. On it, a hook...
I'm going to take this suit case FULL of money, and hand it 15 feet above this ring. And then, I'm going to invite the 1st SIX superstars backstage to come down to this ring, and compete in something I'm calling the "Money In The Bag" match. No, you won't win a title shot. But you WILL be $500,000 dollars richer. So, who amongst you backstage is looking for an INSTANT payday I wonder?
If there was one thing Sabastien knew would get people's attention more then ANY title shot, it was cold hard cash. And above the ring hung 500,000 reasons why he'd get some DEFINITE entertainment from this little match. He awaits the outpour of superstars...
