We're here now. This is here and now. You knew it was coming, didn't you? You heard about it for months and months. Here, and now. Well tonight...XWA Vendetta 2007, here and now finally arrives. Here and now a new champions will be crowned. Here and now, the future of this industry will further be etched in the annals of the XWA.
You have before you four men who don't just talk. They do. Joey Curtis, sudden impact. A man who is on the rise, whether you like him or you hate him. Kayn, pure power. Says what needs to be said and leaves it at that. Simon Fierhart, legend walking. A man who has been through wars and battles that the other primadonnas out there can only dream of. Talk all they want about how great they think they are...you can only wish to ever be on the level of The Immortal.
Then you have little old me. Jon Payne...the man who could be at the top of any company he sets foot in, because I don't need to say how good I am, I'm usually too busy proving it. Take away the catchphrases, and what you have is still a wrestler who can run rings around the best of them. Go ahead and ask them. While others are talking up a storm, I'm getting it done in that ring. WE'RE getting it done in that ring.
To put it bluntly, any of the four men who walk into Vendetta are not only capable of being the World Champ, they're deserving. This company, and the wrestling world at large will be on that man's shoulders. Sunday Night, the world is going to be watching US. Remember that, gentlemen...this is the grand stage now. This is the XWA, and after all is said and done, one of us will BE the XWA.
One of us will be the XWA. That means that one of us is going to be the future.
