A Viable Contender NOW? (XXL)

{Takes Place at TakeDown after XXL's match against Hussein}

When "Remember The Name" is played, each and every fan jumps out of his or her seat and cheers like crazy for XXL. He has just retained the National Championship against Hussein Fatal. But, to the surprise of both the fans and the men in the ring, "True Self" by SOiL plays on the PA system, and Thrush walks out from backstage with a mic. He stays on the stage...

"Congrats XXL. You just beat Hussein Fatal once more. Now, I don't know if you were paying attention earlier tonight or not, but I too challenged you for that National Title. It would be Testudo answering my challenge, saying I would only be a viable contender if I beat him in that very ring. And earlier tonight, I managed to do so.

So once again, I'm challenging you to a match XXL. I know any viable contender is guaranteed a shot at that title. Well, based on Testudo's words, I'm ready for a shot against you. Tonight, I tackled the mountain, and now I want a shot at the black iceberg, and the gold around his waist. What do you say, Xander? A friendly match at Vendetta for the National Title?"

Thrush lets his arm fall, as he waits for a response from XXL.

[genesis]

"King of my World" by Saliva begins to play over the PA System. Genesis walks out onto the stage with a microphone in hand. He looks out at Thrush with a grin on his face. He raises the microphone up to his lips and says:

Genesis - Sorry to come out here and interrupt your little speech Thrush but I just wanted to give you & XXL something to think about. If you two face each other tonight for the National Championship. Just remember one thing. The winner goes to the next Take Down show to face.....ME ! I've got approval from Rodolphe himself for the match at Take Down. So the way I see it. You & XXL can beat the holy hell out of each other for all I care. Cause whatever is left of either one of you will belong to the King of Controversy. The New BREED of XWA ! The man....they call....GENESIS !

Hit my music !

Genesis' music begins to play and Genesis then walks back to the dressing room area.

"Like he said XXL, "if" we face each other for that title. I'm still waiting for an answer, even though I really don't need one. A challenger can't be denied a shot. So come on, man. Get on the mic, let's exchange a few words, and we can both make the other look good."

[Xander Xavier Luther]

XXL motions to a crew member to hand him a mic. He stands in the middle of the ring with the mic in his right hand, slinging the National Title over his left shoulder.

Well now, don't everybody come along at once here. Not soon after I drop Hussein like a mad habit do I hear from not one...but TWO men who want a piece of the pie.

So Thrush...I heard you spit your speak last week about wanting a shot at the NAT before Testudo stepped in. Yeah...you beat him, so you're on a high note right now, but you're gonna learn just like Osiris and Hussien did that when this belt is on the line...I step it up TEN notches.

See, XWA might not have been around for long right now, but I've accepted all comers so far, and so far, I'm the man who still has this title in my hands. Let me tell you this right now, dog...taking it from me ain't gonna be easy.

Is that right? Well then, you got yourself a shot...and a message to Mr. Genesis, take a good long look at this match Sunday night in San Antonio, one of us is gonna be the man that you face for this title at the next TakeDown and I want you to be 100% prepared.

Thrush, you better bring that "A-game" man, cuz I bring it every time...all the time...and this time too.

"Its all we ask for... I hope "XXL" not also refers to your stature, and your initials, but also your skill level. See you soon..."

With that, "True Self" begins to play once again, as Thrush steps backstage, after nodding to Xander Xavier Luther.
