Soon after the end of the airing of Takedown, Fabiola runs into...or maybe tracks down Rock with a camera man in tow for an exclusive interview for the1xwa.net.
"Excuse me, Rock? Fabiola here...I have a few questions for you, well...one in particular", she starts, "Why did you attack Jon Payne after you yourself were eliminated from the Pure Title Battle Royal tonight?"
"Why'd I do it? Why'd I do it??? Did you see the frickin' tape there, hun?" he replies. "I had the match in the bag. I busted Payne open. I was throwin' that little buckaroo Ames around like a rag doll, and then Payne clips me with some fancy shmancy kung-fu kick, and then Ames conveniently pins me? It's obvious that they made up their minds ta double team me and take me outta the match!"
"Well...OK, that's a good enough alibi, but don't you think that might have been good strategy if that WAS their plan?"
"Strategy? This ain't checkers, Fab...this is WRESTLING. This is every man for himself out here. They acted...I responded. It is was Ames who got in the way, I'd have dropped his ass all the same. I made a statement tonight", he says looking right into the camera. "You don't play games with Rock Carmichael. I don't take no guff from nobody. You got a problem with it, Payne? I ain't a hard man to find."
With that he steps off, duffel bag in hand to his rental car. Next stop...Miami.
DONE DEAL.
