And soon Christina comes backSo are we ready for a sumo match? Sorry for being late, but Kelly just phoned me and told me she bought a book called "Lesbian Motherhood" And I almost fainted. Until she told me we would read it when we would be older.
I am 22 years old Cosette and last thing I need is children right now
So after the sumo match, we should go to dinner really, only meal I had was in a McDonalds. Ash you know plenty of good restaurants, you can take us to a romantic one and don't worry, I'll sit on another table

Ash freaks out aswellThank god your girl has some sense!Ash turns back to CosetteAnyways let's walk to the stadium, but that doesn't mean I am cheap to pay a taxi it means that the stadium is next to the hotel hehe Ash leads the ladies to the stadium as they enter, thanks to Ash's popularity in Japan, he, Christina and Cosette get first row seats. Ash then watches the Sumo wrestlers entering the ringThis one with the brown hair has won 5 of his latest matches, he's one step of becoming a Yokozuna. His opponent however has been a Rikishi for quite long, this could be a very interesting match Cosette. And I am glad to be here enjoying it with you

Well, I'm glad you decided to ask me. This is so much fun. And it's good to be here with someone who clearly knows his stuff about sumo. I really can't wait for the match to start.
She looks on clearly having a lot of fun with this.

Christina however was there too Ash how can you tell one from each other? And why are they throwing salt on the mat, it will stick on them if they fall Christina was obviously acting like a dumb blonde (despite she's brunette) to give Ash reasons to talk and amaze Cosette even more.

Ash smilesWell by the color of the thongs they are wearing you can tell from what Sumo house they come, and they throw salt into the ring to purify the sand.
Well the match is about to begin, relax girls and enjoy the fightThe gong sounds as the fight starts... Soon it's overShimabakuro won! The young Rikishi won the match! That was kind of an upset girls! But there are still more fights to come, and after this is over, do you want to eat the japanese stew Sumo wrestlers eat?

Thank God ash ws there to fill in the storyline of the matches, because once it got past the traditional and historical level Cosette had no idea what she was looking at. She did hear another mention of food though.
I'm sure we'll need something after this if we want to survive the rest of the day. Especially if the matches are as exciting as this. I guess there have to be a few good places around here for these guys to eat, right?

Ash smiledWell Cosette actually what Sumo wrestlers eat is a salad bowl, but instead of being filled with salad is filled with soup, noodles, meat, fish, eggs, tofu, etcetera...
And I have to tell you, you must have a strong stomach for it, but it's way healthier than getting fat with the American Diet, not that I want to sound like an anti-american, but actually the Sumo diet doesn't have so many saturated greases like the burgers, the french fries and other things like that have. Sumo is 100% healthy
Next match it features a battle of two newcomers, one from the house of Osaka and the other one from Hokkaido, this should be intersting to see, they have different styles.

Wish I'd known about that stew the last time I tried to add some muscle.
I think I'm starting to catch on though, at least now I know what each color means. Still though, I don't really understand the technique too well. Could you maybe talk me through the differences?
It was perfect, he seemed to enjoy being a fountain of knowledge and was starting to enjoy listening. Plus, Cosette genuinely didn't know what she was watching for.

Ash starts to explainIn Sumo the most traditional ways to win a match is by throwing your opponent off the Sumo ring, or by forcing your opponent onto the mat.
However there are other ways to win a match, for example, if the sumo thong or mawashi becomes completely undone the sumo wrester loses.
And this two contestants share two different styles, one is more agressive, and likes to pull suicide moves such as forcing his opponent to the mat, but falling too, which can be risky, because if you touch the mat first you lose. Also it's interesting to note that this are in the Sandanme division, which would be equivalent to the wrestling Mid-card. They are hungry lions looking to rise up the ranks and therefor they are gonna give everything in the match.
I hope I don't bore you Cosette

Of course not.
She smiles at him. Had to let him know she was a nut for these kinds of details.
The stories are fascinating. I never knew so much went into all this. And if you think that's boring, just wait until something sets me off on one of my infamous history lectures. You have every right to make me stop when that happens.

Ash smiled as he turns to Cosette and looks her in the eyes
I'd never tell you to stop speaking, I love everything you say...
Whoops! Ash's face turned as red as a Sumo sash, he quietly turned around and watched the match
See Cosette? For once the suicide technique worked for that young competitor I bet we will be soon seeing him in the Makushita division!

“Sweet of him to say about not cutting me off, but wait until we get to a museum, or a temple, or a street sign I find a bit too fascinating.”
Makushita. A step up then, a tad closer to the main event I assume. I think I'm starting to get the hang of all this. Oh, it looks like the next match.
The rituals before the next match begin as the two competitors take their marks. There's more pageantry this time around as there are more starts and stops and each one sprinkles the salt to purify the area several times before taking their places.
I suppose these two are the ones we all paid to see, right?

Christina meanwhile had a Sumo leaflet in her handsActually Cosette, Makushita isn't the highest Sumo Division. The order is the following:
1) Makuuchi, with a fixed number of 42 Sumo wrestlers. 2) Jūryō, with a fixed number of 28 Sumo wrestlers. 3) Makushita, with a fixed number of 120 Sumo wrestlers. 4) Sandanme, with a fixed number of 200 Sumo wrestlers. 5) Jonidan, with a fixed number of 300 Sumo wrestlers. 6) Jonokuchi, with a fixed number of 70-100 Sumo wrestlers.
Do you want the leaflet? Christina was enjoying the matches, despite she loved oil Wrestling more , she then offered Cosette the leaflet with a innocent look in her face, despite she found Cosette atractive, Christina knew she had a girlfriend...

They had one in English? I had no idea.
Her eyes just kept widening as she read through “symbol of Japanese identity,” “Shinto,” at least a thousand years of history. Combined with the thrill of actually being there, and having such a fine tour guide it was all a perfect first outing. All that was left was the main event, which she was sure wouldn't disappoint as a spectacle.
It was over before she knew it, but now that she knew everything that went into it she could appreciate the entire storyline as.... well the one on the left as she'd been referring to him was able to counter and maneuver his way to a victory.
That was fabulous. I didn't think I'd enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks for the crash course both of you.

the bout was over and Christina, Ash and Cosette where exiting the arena.Well I admit it was a interesting showcase and you are really into it eh, Cosette?
But now I am hungry, we should go to some ol' fashioned japanese restaurant where you eat sitting on the floor. Althought I am not such a big fan of eating raw fish, I bet there is other japanese dishes.Christina smiles as she waits for a suggestion
