The "M" word. It was becoming more and more obvious that Jon was going to have to bare all himself, that that chapter in the book of Payne was coming to a close.
For now, Mel...only for now. Blaise and I are getting divorced...
His head hangs even lower...

I am, I am. Honestly Mel, I think it's best I leave the details of the situation to anonymity. We've been separated for months. Just...grew away from each other, you know? She has her thing, I have mine...it just wasn't working anymore.

Yeah...at least I think so.
They've had talks...they've had lots of fun together since hooking up in Charlotte weeks ago. Then there was the talk the day of her shoot...the day he told her the way he felt and she did as well. The flowers he hope would solidify that...he hoped.

she takes the flowers and gets in close with jon still holding the close to her as people take pictures when it stops she walks back to the table and sits down to sign more covers

Wow, this is amazing! Carmella sure knows how to pull out all the stops, doesn't she?
He waves at a few fans who cheer on their favorite wrestler as he makes a public appearance.

Well...I haven't actually gotten a copy of the issue yet. Damn thing is sold out everywhere I check! I'd love to...and dinner and a movie sounds cool too, I'm down for it.
He smiles back...the pictorial must have been good if it sold out the way it did, there was a slight bit of "excitement" running through him at the thought of finally seeing it...and her. And dinner? Icing on the cake...

well lucky for you...i made sure the production made me some copies for family freinds and others...so ill get you a copy...thats if you wanna see it?
she signed some more and gave a teenage boy a hug and took a picture
i did not expect this to sell so fast...maybe next time i can find myself a tag team partner for a diva on diva spread
she laughed and rested her head on jons shoulder as the line faded and soon the store was empty...her time was suposed to be untill 2pm but now it was 5 and it finaly stoped

Well...I'm not the least bit surprised. You're a beautiful girl, Kim.
Feeling her head on his shoulder made all the difference. The uncertainty was slowly starting to wash away from him. There were still staff from the cafe and all setting things back up for regular business, but the place was slowly starting to empty out. Jon puts his hand on hers, the same hand where there once was a wedding ring...now gone.
Oh yeah...it's official. I'm a free agent again.
