Backstage in the locker room, Ryan rests an ice pack on his sore joints. He looks over to his gear, and shakes his head seeing that something was missing, the XWA World Title. Tonight, Scott O'Dell proved to be better then advertised. But while most would be upset, Ryan saw it as a small loss. Another chance to be champion would arise soon enough. That's what he was there for. And he had plans to be a staple in XWA for years to come. As he lements about the evenings results, the door of the locker room opens...

Simon enters the locker room and pulls up a chair. He takes a seat and stares long and hard at his brother. He words a simple question to him.
How does it feel?

Ryan laughs a bit to himself. He knew exactly what Simon was talking about. He answers his question.
It sure as hell doesn't feel good. But I guess that comes with the job, doesn't it. I had it it, man. I had it right in my hands. But I let it go, and that jerk O'Dell still has the title. Heh heh...I can't help but to laugh at it, but what's done is done.

Simon responds.
That which does not kill us, makes us stronger. Remember that lesson? We're FIERHARTS. We don't dwell on victory or defeat. It's the fight that counts. You were beaten. It happens. Even the greats are beaten. But what makes a man truly great, is how fast he picks himself up and continues on. Losing to O'Dell is nothing. You're both still young. You haven't come CLOSE to reaching your prime yet. You'll be a World Champion here one day soon. That much NO ONE can't deny. He won the battle, little brother. But the war continues on.

Ryan smiles at his brother before responding.
Always as cool as the other side of the pillow.I can't say I'm not glad I have you as a coach. Maybe I need to start doing what YOU do in the ring. You've got that Russian dudes number. It almost looked like you were enjoying yourself in there.

Simon sighs heavily. He looks at Ryan and replies.
I don't think he even cares. Vasily's trying to get me to "go back". He thinks by challenging me he'll get to fight the man I once was. He doesn't realize that that beast is dead and buried. But What scares me, is that I DID enjoy it. Seeing him struggling to get up. His face a crimson mask. It brought back feeling from the past. Feeling I don't want resurfacing. I can't go back to that place. Not now. Not until I find Archer. I can't help but to feel him stench on Vasily. They're both cut from the same cloth. Power mad. Blood thirsty. Relentless. No...me beating Vasily again tonight is only going to fuel his blood lust even more. He'll be back. One way or another.

Ryan takes his ice pack and tosses it at Simon. It hits him on the shoulder lightly. He jokingly laughs and responds.
Man, you're such a buzz kill. You beat the crap outta the guy. Enjoy it man. Live a little. I'm gonna be hangin' with Ashley tonight, so that means you'll be ridin' solo in MIAMI of all places. Chicks did the well built older guys. I ORDER you to get outta here and go enjoy the week off, bro. Seriously, you gotta start living again.

Simon himself begins to laugh.
Well look at you giving me a lecture for a change. You're right though. How many times am I going to have a week off in Miami? I can think of a few things I might do.
He gets up and pats Ryan on the shoulder.
I'm gonna head out. I'll catch you on the Plane. You fought a good fight tonight, Ryan. That's the most important thing to remember.
Simon turns to exit the locker room.

Ryan says to Simon as he leaves...
Don't go doin' anything I wouldn't, Bro.
Ryan himself gets up and prepares his gear for the ride back to the hotel.
