Plans change. More things had changed in the course of a month than anyone would expect. Hayley in the passenger seat of a Torino Cobra speeding down the streets of New York. New York. Didn't think she'd back here again, but that's where she was...her duffel bag sitting in the back. She looked out to the masses walking the streets. The city was always busy. It's like it never skipped a beat from the last time she was here.

In the driver's seat of this classic piece of Detroit muscle was Hayley's old friend, Jon Payne. He nods as he focussed on the road.

She smiles and rolls hers eyes. He was right though. Everything had pretty much moved on from where it was, it was time for her to move on as well. She sighs...

Jon smiles back at Hayley and just keeps on rolling down the street.

It was only a day since they met up at Jon and his wife Blaise's home in Soho. They had spoken in brief to the GM of XWA, Rodolphe Gallas and was given all the info they needed regarding the new promotion. Jon felt more excited for Hayley than himself, he knew that she had been through a lot emotionally, all he took was a few bumps, nothing major. Still, the surprise he had in store for her was one he was sure would make everything right...would wash all her troubles away.
The Torino pulls into a parking lot. Jon manuevers the car all the way up to the top level. Sure enough...the surprise was there waiting as planned, a Silver Chrysler 300C. It wasn't so much the car though, as was who was in it. Jon stops and shuts off the engine, pointing over to it.

She steps out of the car. Almost at the same time, the person in the 300C steps out as well. Hayley gets a quiver in her legs, butterflies in her stomach. Her heart races.

Stepping out of his 300C, the wide frame of Xander Xavier Luther. He heart flutters as well at the very sight of Hayley...a woman he never thought he'd see again...now only yards away.

Tears begin to run down her eyes. She couldn't even feel her legs begin to run towards him...but the next second she knew she was leaping into his arms. Those big strong arms...protective arms. Hayley was probably one of the roughest around the edge girls around, but there was something about Xander that shed all of that and brought out the delicate women under the tough exterior. She buried herself into his chest.

Shhh...don't say a word, baby. You don't have to say anything.
He wraps his arms around her body and holds her close, laying his head over hers...rekindling her scent, her warmth. It all came back to him now, after months on the road, months of fighting uncertainty, it had all came back to him. Happiness was Hayley Jonas, and he finally had both back in his grasp.

She guides his head own to meet with hers, until their lips intertwine. Hayley closes her eys and revels in this moment. It was all going away, the frustration, the anger, it washed away with the touch of Xander's lips.

Jon smiles as he looks on, leaning against the side of his ride. Just like he figured...the only that was missing in their lives was each other. Now...at least in their minds, all was right in the world, and that made his world a bit better as well.
[glow=limegreen,2,300]Now we can get down to business. Er...then again, I think I'll wait. They have some catching up to do...[/glow]
With that, he jumps back into his Torino, not even saying a word. He knew that they knew that he'd get in touch with them soon. The XWA was a new beginning for them all...and it was going to be a big thing, but all that can wait another day. Right now...it's all about lost love found.
Jon pulls off with a smile on his face.
