Transformers: I have only seen bits and pieces of the original cartoon. I was brought up on the Beast Wars series, so I really wasn't sure what to expect with this. I knew it followed the storyline of the original series, so I was in for a treat. Boy, was I. This movie was freaking fantastic by my standards. As far as I know, it stuck to the original storyline(with some minor adaptations I'm sure). Watching the live action transformation was just simply awesome. And seeing Megatron(one of my favorite villains) come to life was just...awesome. This is definitely one movie to go see this summer if you have not seen it. I highly recommend it. If anyone does not like the movie, well, so sorry for them because this movie is FREAKING AWESOME! Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix: I haven't read the books, so the movies do the story telling for me in this. Overall, was a good movie. Hated the bitch that became the headmistress(sounds naughty, doesn't it? ). It's what you can expect from a Potter movie. The darker it gets, the more of a fan I become . Underdog: A family comedy. Pretty decent. I'm a dog lover so I just loved the movie. Good action, decent plot(and good adaptations of the villains). Definitely one to see if you have kids or are a fan of the cartoon series. The Bourne Ultimatum: What you saw in the first two, you will see in the 3rd. This time, he's out to find out his past. Lots of action, high suspense. While the action scenes do tend to get a TAD repetitious, it is a great movie to go see for the 3rd movie of this trilogy. Truly, one of the rare trilogies that end good.

Congratulations. lol. I could understand seeing Transformers and The Bourne Ultimatum, but Underdog and Harry Potter? *Jix: avid hater of family comedies and Harry Potter.*

I blame my ex for getting me into harry potter. I still say it's a kid's book, but meh, I'm into fantasy so it works. I love comedies, so it works.

I respect the cartoon, so, don't think I hate the Transformers. I don't like them all that much, but I don't hate them entirely. I honestly have no clue why they are making movies of cartoons back from the late 70's and 80's. Such as Underdog, this movie, and they even did the same thing to Alvin & The Chipmunks. Now, I watched Alvin & The Chipmunks and Underdog when I was a kid, even the Transformers from time to time, but I will not watch movies of them years later. And in my opinion, the only good one in the series was Beast Wars(I love animals), before they hit into space, then it just ran down into the ground.

Now you've done it! *Temporary Topic Hijack, lol*
I grew up watching ALL the old action cartoons like Transformers, GI JOE and Thundercats and I have to say as far as pure action and story the cartoons of the 80s and early 90s are rivaled only by Japanese animation of the same time.
As far as Transformers goes, I liked Beast Wars...but comparing it to Generation 1 is like comparing a 2007 Charger to the 1969 one. Both are good, but one is just plain better...and no iteration of Transformers after the first series comes close to it, hence is why it was given the live action treatment, to give the fans like me a more grown up depiction of it, but even still in hindsight the original cartoon itself was pretty mature.
On the bright side though, I doubt they'll ever do a live action GI JOE flick, lol.
*Hijack over*
On Topic: I'm looking forward for August as far as movies go, Bourne, Rush Hour 3 and War (Statham Vs. Li baby!!!).

I don't know why exactly, but they didn't. Beast Wars did, probably because I love animals. As for the movie, I've seen clips and such and I don't even wanna know how much money went into making all those CGIs. Also, don't rule out a live action GI Joe movie, a Dragonball Z LIVE action movie was being talked about for a while, then went to production hell or whatever.... Thank God.

lol, somehow, I don't expect a live action DBZ to be made unless: 1: It ends up being VERY cheap. 2: Someone very serious is behind the directing/producing to give it the edge that it should have so it doesn't turn out cheesy. I grewup on the Beast Wars series. Dinobot was my absolute favorite character(followed by megatron). I think I cried at Dinobot's death scene(yea yea, shuddap ). Beast Machines(the follow up to Beast Wars) was ok. It wasn't great, maybe border line bad, but i still watched it. You wanna talk about remakes that should not have been remade? He-Man. I'm sorry, but the new one looks like he's jacked up on steroids and does nothing to preserve the old image. The old series is far better than the new one. **hi-jack over**

I heard about the DBZ thing like back in 2002. Hopefully its been put on the shelf. I just can't see any actors or actresses, as good as they may be, portraying the characters from the series. I just wouldn't want to see a DBZ Live Action movie period... Cause chances are, it'd bomb big time... Just like Dead or Alive. I can't believe I watched that thing all the way through. Oh! He-Man. XD I loved the movie of it, as cheesy as it was, it was good. Anyway... I haven't been to the theaters in MONTHS.
