Anyone know where I can get good deals on PS2 fixes and repairs for the disc read laser? Or where I can get good deals on a new PS2? I'm a little low on money at the time. My PS2 laser hasn't read discs since two weeks ago and I need to work with SmackDown! vs. RAW 2007. Wrestling is in my blood. Whether it's real or virtual.

Where are you? I assume you're in NY, right? If you're in the city you can find plenty of small game stores, "mom & pop" style that do PS2 repairs for like 50 bucks.

Or you could just knuckle up and get a new one. They only run $129 now. You could even get the cool gray one at Gamestop. ;D

Do you have the older model PS2 or the slim version ? If you have the older model PS2. You could follow this FAQ here: www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/915821/19658This does work. I followed this FAQ before when my PS2 stopped reading games awhile back and since I've cleaned the laser and got all the dust out of the system. My PS2 has been perfectly fine.

I'm most likely going to get a slim. Maybe a silver slim.

I bought it at the EB Games down in the Plaza here in NW PA. traded in my old, so I think a little over 100 bucks. 25 dollars off.
