[Syrus The Entertainer]

So Syrus had thrown his hat into the tag match between Payne & XXL against the strengthened Entourage. Now he was backstage getting himself ready for what was sure to be a battle and a half. Taping up his wrists, he had no idea that the door to his dressing room was unlocked, so he was surprised by who it was that came inside.

[Vesper]

Vesper walked into the room, having never before actually spoke to this man, but was all too familiar with his harrowing exploits in the ring. When he looked up to see the buxom golden blonde in his presence he was quite surprised indeed.

Syrus...I saw your name on the door, and I just thought I'd come in and tell you something. I've watched you for years here in the XWA, and the things you've done are absolutely amazing to me. You're one of the best wrestlers around, and you do it by being different from all the rest of these muscle-bound ego-maniacs here.

I am quite the fan of yours...

It was a good thing he had his shades on (yeah, indoors. ), or else she'd have seen his eyes pop out of his his head. He always plays the cool and calm type, but nowadays with people getting attacked from out of nowhere, one has to be cautious. Luckily for him, it wasn't a muscle-bound ego-maniac, but rather a rather attractive lady.

Well you know...I do it all for the fans. If those fans happen to be fellow wrestlers though, I guess that means I'm doing my job really well. I saw your last match, you're pretty good too.

But, uh...Vesper...what are you really here for?

[Vesper]

Aw, can't a girl show a random act of kindness without being up to something? Well...I guess I'll have to digress...

Slowly, Vesper approached Syrus and rested her hand on the chest of his shirt, caressing it up and down.

A big, strong, successful man like you should really consider upgrading the company he keeps. With me by your side, we'd be wrestling's Jay-Z and Beyonce. The true definition of the term "power couple".

That...and I could show you things that only a real woman knows. You'd never need any other woman when I'm done with you. So does that sound...enticing?

Syrus smiled slighty, but slowly took Vesper by the wrist and removed her hand.

Don't get me wrong now, you are a dime and a half girl, but...in case you didn't already know, me and Sonya Robbins have something going on, and that's right where I wanna be right now.

Sorry baby...

[Vesper]

Oh, is that right?

Her hand rested now on her hip.

Then where is she right now, hmm? Where was she when you got attacked early this year? Do you even know what she's doing when she's not around you?

I wonder if you'll think the same about her after I'm done as you do right now, Syrus.

She grins deviously...

Don't worry though, my door...and other things, will still be open to you after it's all over my little darling.

...and with a single index finger she tapped Syrus' nose playfully as she made her exit.

At the next TakeDown you'll know what I'm talking about...and so will the entire world.

After she's done? What the hell did that mean?

All Syrus does is shake his head and continue to get himself ready for his match. As for Vesper's cryptic words, well...

Elsewhere in the arena...

The fans had been addressed. Jamie had gotten a taste of the words of her opponents, and from the ring in her street clothes she was now in the locker room being shared by her fellow Sensationals. A towel covering her, she sat and reflected. Resting across the room was the Diamond Championship, sitting in all of it''s shimmering glory.

*Sigh*

She looks intimately at it. It was a prize she earned through hard work and dedication. One she carried with pride and respect. It very much made her into a household name carrying it; one of the best wrestlers in the world of any gender.

And now...once again...she faced insurmountable odds to defend it. Just another day at the office, she thought as the door opening broke her train of thought. She had already knew who it was.

So, how is it out there?

[Amber Gianni]

Amber smiled as she re-entered the room.

Can you say electric? Everyone is pure pumped for tonight I tell ya! Jenna's really confident about her match...

She was outside walking Jenna Slade to the gorilla position for her important match with Channelle.

...even if there's a lot at stake. But I guess you already know something about that, huh?

[Jamie Fury]

The monitor was on, and sure enough Jenna Slade was now making her way to the ring. Jamie looked over to it, then back over to the title belt, then to Amber.

Yeah. I've been through too many of these moments.

She giggles...

Tonight's one of those nights though. The odds aren't in my favor. I know there's a really good chance that the next dressing room we're in, that (pointing at the belt) might not be with me anymore.

I'm really gonna have to push tonight, Amber. It's not like before...these girls are hungry, and in one of their cases, confirmed capable.

[Amber Gianni]

Oh...you're just analyzing too much, Jamie.

Amber winked and pulled up a chair, sitting right beside the champ.

Look,you went through hell and high water to regain that belt. The Devil's Playground is no joke, and you survived that. Not to mention two-on-one odds at Madness. You're the real deal, girl. Someone like that straight-edge chick can say it all they want, but you've proven it. Okami's proven that too, but even still they've got a long way to go before they can be in the same sentence as the great Jamie Fury.

Winning tonight for them is only the beginning of that. Winning tonight for you just tells people what they already know.

You really do know how to psyche a girl up, you know that?

Jamie's face, which seconds ago had a look of focus and determination, now cracked a smile.

Still, it's time like these where you really do have to pull out the stops. I'm going to give it 110% just like always, and if it's enough that's great. If not...now that you mention, it's not the end of the world. We'll just see how it goes though.

I've got some options after it's all said and done anyway. I think I have an idea what I'm gonna do, just in case...

Always thinking ahead, aren't we Jamie? Care to give me a hint? Rematch clause...I know you have one. Devil's Night maybe?

[Jamie Fury]

I'm keeping that under wraps.

Jamie smiled, knowing exactly of what it was that she had planned in the event she didn't come out of Ring Rage the defending champion. It would be a new challenge so to speak.

Gotta make it a big surprise for everyone...and it will be pretty big, I'll tell you that much and leave it right there.

Oh, you're such a tease...

Amber playfully slapped Jamie on the shoulder.

Ow, I forgot how hard those things were! Tee hee...we oughta be getting you ready for tonight then. Shall we?

She walked over to Jamie's locker and started to go through her ring gear.
