After the cameras stopped rolling at the Ring Rage PPV, XWA newcomer still had something to say, even after a shoot on the XWA's fans prior to a victory against Osiris, and his target this time according to our reporters was the new XWA World Champion.
"I bet everyone already is congratulating our new World Champion for a heroic effort tonight. Yes, I watched The Crucible matches, and I watch Tommy Tryton score the second biggest win of his life.
Just like that, like a snap of the finger...Tommy Tryton-XWA World Champion. From out of nowhere literally, he's got the spotlight on him now. That's how things work sometimes, hmm? From zero to hero, or from nobody to somebody, or my favorite...from "who's that" to 'who's who'.
Well, what DO we really know about this guy up until this point, hmm? There's a saying that the late Eddie Guerrero said in an interview once. The man can make the title, or the title can make the man. I think we see which is your case.
The XWA World Title is your one way ticket into the all-important and ever elusive "main event status" in this business. Problem is Tryton, that I don't think you're cut out for it yet. Yeah, look at me, the rookie calling you out, huh? What does he know, huh? Who does he think he is to say that when he doesn't have as much 'tenure' as anyone else?
I spit on 'tenure'. I don't care if someone's been here 5 years or 5 days, everyone...whether they're a rookie or a vet or an Xtraordinaire for that matter is one and the same to me: opposition. If I had my way Tryton, I'd be your next opposition...because I would love to get you know you more.
Remember earlier when I said that tonight was your second biggest win? Well, the next one would be the biggest win, Tommy. There's another saying that Matt Hughes, mixed martial artist said as well: "You're not truly a champion until you've defended your title."
So live it up, champ. Celebrate the big win tonight. Go out and party hard...because the biggest win is yet to come, Tom...and I don't quite think you have it in you just yet."
