Early during the course of the TakeDown taping backstage at the Nassau Coliseum, Jon Payne already in the building and walking down some random hallway catches a glimpse of the boss lady herself rushing towards the parking lot area after an unforeseen technical difficulty during the opening moments of the season premiere.
Hey uh...what's going on Carmella? What happened out there?

Carmella was looking quite frazzled as she made her way to the back area lot where the sound and video truck was that pumped out the XWA's broadcast to it's worldwide audience. For something like that interruption to have taken place on live TV had to mean that it was being done in real-time, and she was desperate to find out the answer to the very question that Jon had asked.
I don't know Jon. I'm hoping that I can find out though. Come with me to the truck, I may need you.

Sure...Jon could almost feel what it was that Carmella meant when she said that she may "need him", being the chance that there may be some form of physical altercation if the culprit was nearby. Since she was in fact paying him a ridiculous amount of contract money, he saw no reason to object. They reached the truck and Carmella opened the door to step inside first. The crew that manned the broadcasts as well as the Jumbotron videos were all groggy and disoriented, as if they had all been attacked in some way. ...Whoa.

There were at least 20 or so people inside of this truck at any given time, so the fact that every single one of them had seemingly been knocked loopy didn't sit too well in Carmella's mind. She helped up one of her female crewmembers to her feet with an obvious and evident look of concern on her face.
What the hell happened here? Are you all OK?
"It was...some kind of...gas. There were three of them. They...busted through the door and...tossed in some kind of...bomb..."
A what? You mean like a smokebomb of some kind?
There were still slight traces of whatever gas in the air that knocked them out, as Carmella herself began to cough just a bit. Someone it seemed went to some very drastic measures to get that video package broadcasted.

Jon too could smell the putrid stench of whatever knockout gas these vandals used to get into the truck. It was like something out of an action movie, where the bad guys make a swift hit to get the first bit of momentum. The problem is that whomever this was hit so hard that nobody could catch them, or even see them for that matter.
You said there were three of them. Did you see any faces or hear any voices at all?
"No. They were in masks and they didn't say a word. It was like one second they showed up and the next thing you know we were all outcold. I'm sorry..."
Nothing to be sorry about. This isn't your fault.
Carmella, I don't think we should be airing this bit of footage. We better keep it internal for now.
Carmella nods and ordered the cameraman who was recording this to be aired later to stop. This was becoming a pretty delicate situation here. The good thing was that nobody was seriously injured, but that was about the only good thing right now. Nobody had a clue of who did this, or whether who ever did it could possibly do something else in the near future.
To Be Continued.
