Here we go again (invite)

[Kayn]

*The crowd in the Nassau Coliseum was still buzzing about what they had seen so far, and the show was about to continue to roll on. Within a few moments “Hammer Smashed Face” began to play through the PA system. The crowd came to their feet as Kayn walked out onto the stage with a smile on his face. He stood for a moment on the stage and looked at the endless sea of people that were cheering for him, and he enjoyed every moment of it. After taking it all in, Kayn began to make the walk down the ramp to the ring, giving high fives to the fans all the way down the barrier.*

Mike: ”Well Buzz, looks like we’re about to be joined by the ‘Death Metal Goliath’.”

Buzz: ”Why? Why is he still here? He should really quit and focus on something else.”

Mike: ”What is it about Kayn that rubs you the wrong way Buzz?”

Buzz: ”Look at him! Pandering to the crowd, acting like a trained seal. I tell you Mike, it sickens me.”

Mike: ”It’s called being an entertainer partner.”

Buzz: ”It’s called sucking up!”

*By this time Kayn had reached the ring and entered by climbing through the ropes. He stood in the center of the ring and did a 360 degree turn to look at all the fans before jumping up on one of the turnbuckles and pointed out to the crowd, which garnished another huge response from them. He looked out to the crowd before looking down to the ring announcer and asking him for a mic, which the ring announcer gladly gave him. His music slowly faded, but the crowd noise didn’t. They continued to cheer for Kayn, which prompted Kayn to put his hands together and bow to the crowd as a show of respect. After making this motion to all four sides of the squared circle, Kayn then brought the mic up to his mouth.*

“Long Island, New York. I want you all to do me a favor. I want each and every one of you to stand up and make as much noise as you can, because the XWA is BACK!”

*The crowd exploded with cheers as Kayn lowered his mic and listened to the people.*

Buzz: ”See? What did I tell you? He’s a suck up.”

*Kayn smiled as the crowd continued to cheer, he then brought the mic back to his mouth.*

“OK, OK, settle down now. So here we are, kicking off season three and just like the past two seasons we will bring you all the best of the best. From the beginning the XWA was a federation that turned head and got people talking, and it seems that we’ve gotten under the skin of some rogue federation out there.”

*The crowd begins to boo the mention of the rogue federation. Kayn stood and shrugged his shoulders before speaking again.*

“As I’ve said before, I don’t know who these people are and I really don’t care, but like I promised them I am standing right here in this ring and I’ll stand here until one, or all, of you show up to face me.”

*The cheers from the crowd became deafening as Kayn stood in the center of the ring with his arms folded and waited for a few moments for someone from the other fed to show up. After a little time no one showed up, which prompted Kayn to raise his mic again.*

“That’s exactly what I thought, run your mouth on the internet but when the time comes to face up and be a man, you sit back with your tail between your legs. Typical. Well, let’s not let this little speed bump ruin our fun tonight, what do you say folks?”

*The crowd agreed with Kayn by cheering, which once again brought a smile to his face.*

“So, I’m here in the ring and I know there are some guys in the back that are dying to start this season off with a bang, so I’m throwing out a challenge to whoever wants to step up to the big time and have themselves a match tonight.”

*Kayn lowered his mic and waited for a challenger to answer his call, and it wouldn’t take long before another wrestler’s theme music started to play over the PA system.*

[Chris Dynamite]

As the lights flashed, 'Ace of Spades' blares out through the arena, the theme tune that heralded the arrival of Chris Dynamite to the TakeDown arena for the very first time.
Dynamite stepped out onto the stage, as the fans began jeering and shouting at the newcomer. He smiled and raised his hands at the top of the ramp, soaking it in, then slowly strolled down the ramp, and climbed into the ring opposite the Death Metal Goliath. Taking a microphone, Dynamite raised it to his mouth, then smiled as the crowd waited to hear what this new youngster had to say...

Well, well, it looks like i made it! XWA season 3 opener and i find myself in the ring with Kayn

*The crowd pops for the Death Metal Goliath.*
Dynamite laughs, and took a couple of steps back,

But allow me to introduce myself...I am the new face of the youth of the XWA, I am the man who all you people will turn up, and tune in to watch. Ladies, Gentlemen, and all others… I am Chris Dynamite. Dynamite raises his hands, then laughs I know, I know, its not a name many of you have heard, probably because I've not made the...right sort of name for myself yet for people like you. To be honest that doesn’t really worry me, you people will be here anyway, so you can think whatever the hell you want, but I guarantee you will watch. Tonight I didn't come here for you people…

Dynamite pauses as the crowds reaction turns to boos and jeers. He shakes his head, then looks at Kayn,

I came here for YOU! Well, people like you to be specific, you just happen to be he one throwing out an open challenge, but that suits me fine. You see I’ve had you on my radar for a while big man. Ever since I got here, hell before I even arrived, I’d heard so much talk about ‘The Death Metal Goliath’, ‘the longest reigning champ in XWA history’, ‘The Streak’, Combatant Xtroadinaire blah blah blah… And I thought to myself, lets see how I measure up!

Dynamite steps up to Kayn, and the crowd jeer, hoping he’s bitten off more than he can chew. Dynamite laughs and steps back a bit…

You see, I intend to make an indelible mark… He looks at the jeering crowd Yeah, the rest of you can look it up when you get home! I intend to make an indelible mark on this night, and this company. And what better way to begin then test myself against one of the best there is. You seem to be focussing on these ‘invaders’ you’re convinced are coming, when you should be worrying about the guys in the back. You see there’s a whole new crop looking to make a name for themselves. How many debuts do think there will be tonight? Huh? And I intend to be the one everyone remembers… So I’ll tell you what…hang on…

Dynamite climbs the turnbuckle to get eye to eye with Kayn, then grins,

Consider your challenge accepted…with pleasure!

Mike: Are you kidding? This kid just accepted Kayn's challenge...
BuZz: Of course he did, its an open challenge. And he's not backing down...
Mike: Well this should be interesting.

Dynamite climbs off the turnbuckle, looks around at the crowd, and then back to Kayn…

[Kayn]

*Kayn stood and watched the brash new superstar and his tirade. The new guy was hungry to make a name for himself, that was for sure. After Chris finished accepting Kayn’s challenge, Kayn brought his mic up to his mouth.*

“Well Chris, let me be the first to say welcome to the XWA. You know I remember back a few years ago when I was in your shoes, one of the new guys in the locker room, ready to make a name for myself, but I went down a little different path. I started out challenging another relatively new guy at the time…”

*Before Kayn could continue the crowd started to cheer and then started a “Wyld Style” chant. Kayn paused and looked at the crowd, before continuing.*

“Yea, that’s the guy. What I guess I’m saying here Chris is that I started at the beginning, not near the top. I mean I’d heard of a lot of the people in the XWA before I got here, names like Jon Payne, XXL, and Simon Fierhart, but I didn’t jump straight into the deep end of the pool, I waded my way in slowly so I didn’t drown. You are right however, there are a ton of new faces in the back there, and I wish them all the best of luck, including you, however if you think that you’re going to use me as a stepping stone in this company then I hate to tell you that I’m more of a mountain than a stone.”

*The crowd exploded for Kayn. He paused for a moment and smiled out to the crowd before focusing back on Chris.*

“And as of these ‘invaders’, while they may be nagging at the back of my mind there’s something you’ll learn really quick tonight. When I’m in the ring, my focus is my opponent. If it wasn’t, I wouldn’t have been the longest running champ in XWA history as you so eloquently put it. So Chris, you want to see how you measure up in the XWA? Well get yourself ready to get in the ring with one of the biggest measuring sticks in the industry today.”

*The cheers from the crowd grew as Kayn lowered his mic and allowed Chris to have the final word.*

[Chris Dynamite]

Dynamite looked at Kayn for a moment then raised the mic to his lips, he took a breath, then lowered it again and looked around at the crowd who were cheering for Kayn. He shook his head slightly, and raised the mic again,

Well thank you for that insight into how to begin a career…I’ll bear that in mind. But you seem to have got the wrong impression about me big man, I’m not trying to use you as a stepping stone. I’m here to make an impact…to make an impression… I didn’t hunt you out for a match, you threw down the challenge, and I wasn’t going to miss an opportunity like this. You see, like I said, I have no intention of being caught up with the flotsam and jetsam which is floating around backstage, the hoard of newcomers, a number of whom wont make it. No, I intend to stand out, but I’m not facing you so that everyone will say ‘Hey he’s the guy who faced Kayn’ I’m standing here accepting this challenge because, as you put it, you’re one hell of a measuring stick in this company, and I wanna know where I stand.

Dynamite lowers his mic, and steps back.

Mike: I struggle to believe that this kid is only out here to test how good he is, he’s trying to use Kayn to make an impression.
Buzz: How can you say that? You don’t even know anything about the kid.

Then agaaaiiiinnn…Maybe there is a little bit more to it than that. You see, like I said, I’ve been watching, and I noticed a couple of things towards the end of last year. One this company could use a bona fide showstealer – such as myself – [Dynamite grins and nods as the crowd jeer, and boo him] Aaaaaaand, there was a bit of a dip in form on your part Big fella! You see I knew about ‘The Streak’ and all that, but as much as you say there’s no one more focussed in the ring than you, I think we can say that focus fell away a bit at the end of last year, huh? I mean after all that time unbeaten, you suffered a couple of losses towards the end of the year, and I think you’ve got more than we saw from you at XGames 2…

Mike: This kid has a real mouth on him! Where’s he going with this?
Buzz: He’s trying to get in Kayn’s head.
Mike: Well many have tried, and few succeed. It doesn’t look like Dyanmite’s going to either.

So I think its fair to say that tonight, I’m here to see how I measure up, I’m here to make an impression, and I’m here to make damn sure that I get the best from the Death Metal Goliath…One on one, in front of all these people, in front of all those people in the back, and in front of everybody WorldWide…!

*The crowd come to their feet, jeering Dynamite, cheering Kayn, and in expectation*

So all that’s left, is to get started. Now, I know how much you like the sound of your own voice big man, but I think its time we got this going, what d’ya think?

Dynamite lowers his mic, and stands across the ring from Kayn, eyes locked, ready for their showdown.

[Kayn]

*Kayn smirked a little at Chris before bringing the mic up to his mouth one last time.*

“In the immortal words of Mills Lane… ‘Let’s get it on!’”

*With that Kayn gave his mic to the ring announcer and waited for the bell to ring to start the match.*
