Just a about a half hour ago, I simmed a match between my newest creation Niiro Oni and Chad Treadstone, both Juniors (Crusierweights). And it had to be not only the best match I've simmed on 2009, but the best match I've simmed EVER on ANY SVR game. I'm talking this match was FIRE PRO calibur. The action was back and forth the whole way, and Chad would keep on getting the upper hand. He'd fill his momentum bar up and nail Niiro with finisher after finisher, as well as Signatures.
And Niiro kept kicking out.
The part that kicked ass the most was this one spot in the match that Niiro knocked Chad out of the ring. He hit the floor and did the Kip-Up just as Niiro had gone up to the top rope. Chad dashes back into the ring and Running Calf Kick's Niiro clean off of the top rope, making him fall to the mat. He drags Niiro to the middle of the ring and hits his Dynamite Tackle (AKA The Goldberg Spear) on him, putting him in the red. He goes for the cover then and wins, right? WRONG!!! Niiro kicks out, and Chad argues with the ref. Then Chad turns around and covers Niiro AGAIN. Same deal, He kicks out at 2, and Chad argues again. Then he goes in for a THIRD pin attempt...Kick out at two by Niiro. And Chad argues...AGAIN. Then Chad goes back in, stomps him once, tries to pick Niiro up, and Niiro counters. Having kicked out 3 times in a row, the counter gave HIM a special, he kicks Chad in the gut, the peels of a Trouble In Paradise (Haven't come up with a name for it yet), and goes in for a pin himself to no avail.
It took Chad 6 Finisher to put Niiro away. And Niiro managed to hit 4 of his own during that match as well. Add to that that the BOTH took to the skies, counter the crap out of each other, and basically put on a Puro-Styled, action packed spot fest, it was the greatest match I ever simmed hands down. Thank GOD 3X was watching it as well, otherwise I'd be really depressed being the only person to witness it. As of now I'm officially sold that SVR 2009 is the best game in the series. No way in the HELL do you get a match like that on ANY of the past games. Yea...we're going to have one HELL of a 2009 season if we can get matches that quality on a weekly basis. And I simmed the match under the potential XWA 2009 Sliders (3X and I are still tweaking them to find a balance of Offense and Defense seeing as the AI counters it's ass off by default). I've been on a Junior Heavyweight fix as far as caw creating, and now I'm gonna be making even more seeing as I can make guys who can put on that kind of show.
