With all due respect to any of the other matches that have been mentioned as "The Best", Payne Vs. XXL might go down as the greatest match in XWA history. HOLY CRAP! Not only did it come down to the very last move, but they fought tooth and nail. I tip my cap to both handlers and their caws. That was one hell of an awesome show.

I only caught the tail end of the match when it was being simmed by 3X, but yes I completely agree that it had to be one of, if not THE greatest match ever simmed in XWA, and there've been several good ones. It's a damn shame someone had to lose that one, cuz it kicked ass for sure.

Non-bitching... Channelle wins the "lay down and die quietly" award for a non-existent performance. She didn't do anything! No FoF, no Ground & Pound, it was like she just walked around the ring and let Jamie toss her like a rag doll! I'm really hoping that they do something about that in the next version-seriously. For an AI that does what it's done against Roze and Alundra to just crap out like that really sucks. Oh well, nothing lasts forever. Fury's one helluva CAW to boot, so congrats to the new Diamond Champion.  Now I'll see what's up with these other matches that've been talked about. |

Without spoiling to much of the OTS Tourney, the 2nd round matches were as good as the 1st. Those who've won the matches I've watched thus far definitely had to earn their wins.

The grade for my characters for the night: Jonny Punch = C: I kinda figured he wasn't going to make it out of the 2nd round. Against Pollox he wasn't much a of match up, sadly. Bull & Ina = A: How the hell else can you rate your NEW SAPPHIRE CHAMPS. We need spoiler tags, dammit. And "The Omen" just gave me chills. XWA has reason to be VERY afraid right now... |
