Is anyone else experiencing some kind of slow down while trying to access the board? Slow loading pages, failure of images to load up, server connection failures, etc?

When I went to sign in just a few mins ago. The board was running pretty slow. But now, everything seems to be going okay.  |

The culprit is not maintenance sadly, it's the fact that we are now dreadfully close to capping out our bandwidth. With all of the codes we've added to make all of the bells and whistle everyone appreciates, as well as all of the images hotlinked from Photobucket, it's sucking up the speed of which all pages on the site loads. Therefor, Thr33x and I will be going through the headers and footers to see what codes are expendable, and as such some features may end up being disabled or deleted out right. Also, for all of you sig users, I know it's a pain in the ass, but I ask of you to use Imageshack from here on out, as their servers are much larger the Photobucket, and thus take up less bandwidth. At least for those people with massive and multiple images in your signs over 100kb.

I've been staying on top of this problem for most of the day, and it would seem ours isn't the only board suffering from the ExxxxxxxxxxxxxtrEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEme slow down. Proboards has informed us that they are looking into the cause of the problem on our server (and a few others), but in the meantime to do what we can to increase bandwidth on our own ends (IE: removing un-needed codes, reducing image quality, etc.) and to bare with it until the get to the source of the slow down. Hopefully we should be back to normal speed in a few days to a week. If not, then I'll go and inquire even further our board specifically.

I'm noticing a mild improvement of speed following the removal of certain codes and the switching of the background image to the standard XWA logo background for the default skin (Been months since we've seen it, huh?). Until I get notice that the problem's been corrected, we're just going to go with the PPV banners in the Welcome Panel atop the board, no background images, as well as no new codes being added until further notice. It's a temporary fix for now, but it's all we can do until I here of any improvements from Proboards.
