It doesn't really make any difference but after reading a select few topics here on XWA board I thought about it.
Why doesn't XWA use different brands I mean we have at least 50+ active members and thats almost more than the actual main WWE roster (not counting people who do dark matches etc, people who appear on nearly every showing). I think it would add more elements to XWA in itself plus give the whole brand superiority idea.
Just my thoughts on it.

Not the first time this has been brought up, lol. If I can recall some of the specific reasons why:
1) Limits the interaction between members (and they're trying to get more of that going on as is, especially with TakeDown).
2) Would mean a split between the belts, having each become a show's "property".
Those I think are the two biggest reasons right there, but there are probably others that I can't remember ATM.

I think if some thought is put into it, it might work. The way the belts could split is you have the National Title be the "Takedown" belt and the Pure Title be the "Overload" belt. The Tag Team and X-Gen titles could be available on both shows seeing as on 2009 there's going to more then likely be FAR more eligible characters. And of course the World Title can stay the "PPV" big belt. Glitter would pretty much stay the same. The only question would be how the roster would be split. Stables would obviously need to be kept together (The Coalition, Revolution X, Damage Inc), but the rest of the roster can really be mixed up. It would create some interesting match ups that me might not see otherwise. Of course you want to divide the stronger characters up evenly so that one show doesn't blow the doors off the other, but it wouldn't be that much of a change. If it's though of, obviously it would need to happen in the 2009 season, so the bosses would have plenty of time to figure it out. XWA's good either way, brands or no brands, but I think a roster split could give some variety and help some characters stand out that aren't doing such right now, as well as give people a bit more focus. But "That's just my own 2 cents." (Sorry Kiss)

I pretty much agree with Punch in that if it does happen, 2009 would be the time to do it. You split up the league's top males to each show, and the fill the rest of the roster accordingly. But instead of going with "theme shows" like so many other feds, you keep it simple in that they both run like regular shows, with the angles telling the story. Maybe one major angle for each show for continuity, but nothing like how I heard that LXW was in that one show was "Aggressive" and the other "Traditional". That's kinda cliche if you ask me, seeing as it's been raped to death. It could work, but pretty much like Punch said, we're good either way.

When I brought this up last year, the main responce was 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.

However if its not broke, there is no better time to improve it.
Punch has a great thought there, as for splitting the roster I think it would work fine just being set up by the admins. I mean they have pretty much hit the hammer on the nail with everything up till now. And we don't really have to give any brand any title. They can still stay universal. Other than the off chance of one brand holding all the titles I don't see it being a problem. Personally the National title does really fit takedown as does the Pure to Overload. I don't know why but they just seem to work there.

This would require such things going forward as having to actually allocate matches for PPVs, or even devoting PPVs to one brand, which might sound cool to some people, but it wouldn't be for those who would be basically waiting a month to get into one, if it were to be that way. Reserving "space" on a card for each brand to be represented is also limiting in a sense that if there are say 4 good storylines on one show but only room for three on a coard, someone's getting the short end of the stick. That's just one single example out of many that comes to mind.
The bottom line is that there are too many variables that compromise things or require too much changing to the system that is in place right now. That is the main reason why it hasn't happened and won't happen in the foreseeable future.
