Where had Melissa been? Training in Japan, her last match taught her something her old fighting style wasn't gonna cut it here in XWA she just wasn't good enough at it. So she went to Japan to train a get better, and in her opinion she did at least a little bit. This isn't about that though , It's about her and her daughter August having a little fun and relaxing walking around in a local mall. Looking up at her daughter who was sitting on her shoulders and straddling her head, she smiles and asks her.

" You wanna go get some Ice Cream? "

Hearing that tantalizing question, August's eyes get big and she smiles bigger then she already was.

" Yes please mommy. "

They'd already walked around the mall at least once, so Mel pretty much knew where she was going. Heading towards the Coldstone Creamery the trip is all of maybe a minute or two. Walking into the store, August smiles very brightly as her and Mel were pretty much the only ones in line. Approaching the counter they are greeted by a very cheerful looking teenage girl who once she saw Melissa was a little star struck.

" W-Welcome to Cold S-Stone Creamery, How can I help you M-Ms. Armstrong? "

Laughing a little, Melissa replies.

" I'm just here as a mother with my daughter, please don't treat me special or different. "

" O-Okay. "

Looking up at her daughter Mel asks her.

" What do you want sweety ? "

" Um...the oreo kind. "

" And I'll have the Peanut Butter Cup Perfection. "

" They'll be right up. "

Nodding at her, Melissa is greeted by a voice from behind...

ENTER CHEESY PICK UP LINE!

I hate to see you go, but I love watching you leave.

Without looking at him, Melissa knew who it was. Not even looking back, she shoots in reply

" Wow, someone using a pick up line on me...wow you must be desperate. "

Having a laugh at herself she turns around and replies

" What's up Michael? "

Heh, not much. Wasn't trying to use it as a pick up line. I couldn't pick you up if I tried, date wise at least.

Anyways, I've been alright I suppose. How about you? Haven't see you around in quite some time.

Michael looks up and sees Mel's daughter.

And this must be your little one.[/b][/center]

" Yeah, she's my little pride and joy. One of the reasons I took a little break, the other being that I wasn't satisfied with my in ring performance so I went to Japan and got a little training there. "

Japan is always an excellent place to go and train. Very many knowledgable people there that can help you get on the right track.

Looking at the man her mommy was talking to, August smiles and replies.

" August. "

August eh? That's one of my favorite months. Is that one of your favorite months too?

Smiling at him, August replies.

" Yeah, my birthdays then. "

Laughing Melissa corrects her daughter.

" It's the 21st of August. "

" Your orders are up. "

Turning around, Mel grabs her wallet out of her pocket...Yes Mel carries a wallet. She thought purses were a sure way to get ripped of. Throwing a 20 spot on the counter she picks the bowls up and turns back around.

" Care to join us Mike? "

Yea, I'll join you guys.

Michael looks over at the woman at the window.

Can I get the chocolate supreme please?[/b]

Michael places the money down for his order. The money is taken and cashed in. His order is made. He grabs it from the window then looks at Mel.

Lead the way.[/b][/center]

Spotting a table, Melissa points to it and replies.

" Right over there. "

Walking over to it she sets the two waffle cone bowls down and gets down on a knee so August can hop off of her shoulders. Hopping down, August sits in the booth and slides against the wall. Sliding in after her, Mel asks Michael as he gets to the table.

" What's been goin' on for you since Ohio? "

Michael sits down at the table next to Mel.

Trying to regain my focus. I haven't been doing so hot here in XWA. That's going to change though. I've been refueled, refocused. No longer blinded by titles or wins and losses. I'm gonna lose. It's finally sunk in my fat head. After being in this sport for 10 years, you'd think that I'd be used to it by now.

So, how are things with you and....Rebecca, I think her name is.

" We...split, not on good terms either. She wanted me to quit wrestling permanently, and I said no. That wasn't what caused it though, August was, she wasn't happy that I hid the fact I had a daughter from her. So we split and she had a miscarriage I think...blames me I'd guess. I didn't want to split but she did and I gave her what she wanted... "

I'm sorry to hear that sweety, I really am. You two were really happy together. Guess it just wasn't meant to be. I'm sure you'll find the right person. Besides, I don't see how she could be mad about August. Your daughter is such a cute little thing. I'm sure anyone serious enough would be willing to take her in as their own.

" Yeah, well it's funny how things turn out ya know? Life gives ya a challenge, all ya can really do is either give up or take it head on. That's what I've decided to do with moving ahead. I'm not gonna let that little set back ruin my life, I didn't let the death of August's father keep me down and I'm not gonna let this either. I'll probably find some one but I'm not really looking right now. If I was though I think the most important thing would be how they treat my little princess here."
