(OOC: Sorry I didn't reply sooner.. I've been pretty busy as of late lol). Brandon chuckles a bit as he responds:
Hold on there little man. Were not jumping to the 'physical' stuff just yet. When I said verbally, I'm talking as in speaking terms. You know as well as I do. The most important key to success in pro wrestling is the way you conduct yourself on the microphone.
Running around and beating the crap out of every XWA superstar on the roster is fun of course. But what good is that if you can't back it up on the mic ? Exactly ! None whatsoever. It takes character and good speaking skills to succeed.
Wise man once said to me. Wrestling is like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. What makes the sandwich great is both of the ingredients put together obviously. You can't have one without the other. Wrestling is like that. You can be the best damn technical wrestler ever. Or the toughest hardcore icon you can be. But none of that means shit if you can't win the audience over on the mic, and vice versa.
So Cadet Pryce. What I'm going to have you do right now is...
Brandon walks over and grabs a microphone sitting up against the lower turnbuckle nearby. Then tosses the mic to Pryce.
Give me YOUR BEST in-ring promo that you can muster up. Pretend for a moment that me and you are competing against each other in match, okay ? This isn't just any other match. But say, the biggest match of your career. Your going into the ring to face me for a chance at winning the World Heavyweight Championship. I just finished running your character down and making him look like the biggest piece of shit who walked the face of the earth. Now, its your chance to respond.
Afterwards... I'll critique you and give you some pointers on what you can do to improve. Remember, I'm not here undermine or make fun of you. I'm doing this to help push you to the next level.
Sebastian Crowe did the same thing. He trained me during my rookie year and helped in guiding me to the next stage of my career. So now, I'm returning the favor and doing the same for another young, up & comer. I chose you because I have faith in your abilities.
(Laughs) Listen to me ramble on and on... Alright kid, lets see what you got !

(ooc: don't worry so have i. sorry this one was late Pryce rubs his chin. on the spot promo. it was a hard task to muster. he really hadn't thought much about it. until he came out with. So tonight is my night. tonight i come out here and i get my shot at the world championship. and i have to face the man. now a famous quote says you have to beat the man. to be the man. and that is what i plan on doing. beating the man who has held the belt for two months. the man who has defeated Primo in his very own match. Brandon Payne, you have had a very good reign as champion. and no doubt you will be remembered for it. but your reign goes no further because that belt of yours will be around my waist as this little match ends because i will win. now this is not because i am better than you. not because i have luck on my side. it is because of destiny. ha a word that has become cliched in this business eh. Destiny cannot be averted, there is no escaping the result, and the result will always be the same in this match no matter where and when it takes place. i hope your ready to lose. because i am the future of this business. and that future is coming close. i have done things in this ring that many though i would not have. i have been the underdog ever since i walked through the company doors. but now i will write the final chapter in this true underdog story. tonight Christian Pryce becomes World Champion. Pryce then shakes his head. it could have been better, but he really didn't know what to say. was that OK?

*Claps*
Not bad.. not bad at all Cadet Pryce. I know its not easy to cut a good promo on the fly. But, in this business. You have to be ready for anything.
After carefully listening to your little promo. I think there's a few things that you can add to make you sound more exciting.
Now, don't get me wrong my boy. Your good right now as it is. You've definitely got the 'spark', as we used to say. Allow me to help unlock.. your hidden potential.
I'm going to use a line that you used as a starting point. First, I'm going to repeat what you said before. Then, I'm going to add a little something to it to make your character sound more believable. By that, I mean more exciting to the fans. Because you got to have the crowd on the edge of there seats. There the ones who give us our paychecks right ?
Lets get started...
You said the following earlier:
"Brandon Payne, you have had a very good reign as champion. and no doubt you will be remembered for it. but your reign goes no further because that belt of yours will be around my waist as this little match ends because i will win."
Now, allow me to repeat your original promo with my own added detail:
"Brandon Payne, you have had a very good reign as champion. and no doubt you will be remembered for it. but your reign goes no further because that belt of yours will be around my waist as this little match ends because i will win. Wanna know why Payne ? Because I will do absolutely everything in my power to stop you. I don't care if I have to wrap a steel chair around your head. I don't care if I have to use the referee to my advantage. It doesn't matter. The result will be the same. You, face down on the mat. And me, standing above you getting the 1,2,3 !"
Brandon stops for a moment. Grabs him a bottle of water nearby. Twists the cap off and takes a sip before continuing on with his lesson:
See the little details I've added in ? While, you may not say those exact words. At least hopefully you'll get the idea. Its all about going in-depth and detail my friend. Expanding what you already have in your possession.
I know this may seem like a little too much at one time. But believe me kid. Over time, all of this will pay off. Some day, maybe that day will come. Perhaps you will face me in the ring for the World Championship. But that will only happen if you take your game to the next level.
Your good as it is now. But when I'm through with you. You'll be going from just 'good', to greatness !
Even a 'Wrestling Elite' like myself. Didn't start out this good. I learned my craft along the way. My mentor believed in me just as I believe in you. Through his teachings, and my observance of the others around me. I became what I am today.
For you Cadet Pryce. The same can happen to you. But, its going to take alot of work, practice, and patience.
So, do you understand everything ? If so, lets see you try this one more time. Only this time, I'm giving you more freedom. Make it any kind of situation you want. You can be interacting with anybody in any kind of setting you like it to be. But apply what I teach. If you can do that. Your one step closer to your destiny.
Now... show me what you've learned kid !

Pryce took in a deep breath. it was a lot to take i but Pryce knew Mr Payne's words were golden. and were probably the best piece of advise that he had been given since he debuted. if you don't mind Mr Payne i think i will continue on the title promo. of course not the same but i variation on the same idea. Pryce again took a deep breath and then let it rolled. Payne now as much as i have respect for you, and everything you have done in this business. in fact you were the reason i got in this business. but you have to understand that i have come to far to go all soppy now. the facts are laid bare for you to see. i will defeat and thus not only take the World Championship. but the torch as well. i am the next generation, a generation of stars that are hungry for gold and will do anything to get it. what i will do to get that belt is anything from beating you to near death with a Barbed wire Bat to choking the life out of you or anybody else with a wire, heck even make it barbed wire. i will even knock every referee out in this building and then bring in my own ref to beat you. but you see none of that is needed because i have enough technique to take you out without the use of weapons. Brandon Payne you era as champion is at its end, and that is undeniable, that is fate, that is destiny. and you can never deny destiny, no matte how big or how small it is. your reign will end by my hand or my fist. and at the end of the beating you will get. your face will be left bloodied, bruised and swollen, and all that will be running through your mind is me holding that title over you. and that is destiny Pryce then stood back and took a swig from his evien bottle. he felt it was improved. but he was not sure.

Meh, good enough I suppose. Though next time, I expect better from you. More along my level of promo cutting.
But for now, before we move on with the other stuff. Lets take a small break.
Besides I want to get to know my pupil more.
BP jumps out of the ring and motions for Pryce to follow him into the lounge area in the next room. Nothing fancy. Just a small room with a couch, TV, some of BP's memorabilia, and a small refrigerator. Payne opens up the frig and grabs a soda. Then asks:
You thirsty Pryce ? If so, pick your poison kid. Everything from bottled water, a variety of pop, beer, etc.

i think i will have a Pepsi Pryce seemed tired after all the work he had done today. but he didn't feel like he was ready to give up. maybe the break would be a welcome change from working out. he could relax his muscles and get his head straight before he would work on his Mic skills again so what do you want to know about me?

Well for starters. How did you get involved in the wrestling business ?

Pryce sips his Pepsi. wow it had been a long time since he was asked that question. it was kinda odd, he really struggled to remember how it all started Well i was born in Shoreham England. A small town in the middle of the countryside. i started to wrestle at the age of 16 while working on my A levels. i also have a degree in Drama Pryce stopped. this wasn't a life story it was about how he got into wrestling but what got me into this business was the glory of knowing that people wanted to be like you. i would watch some of the big names of wrestling and want to be like them. and i wanted some day a kid to sit in his room and say the same about me. plus i love all of the showmanship of this business. i cant get enough of it. and i also Love the gold, i have this big fixation on wrestling belts i always have loved gold i don't know why. but they are the main reason is got into this business

Gold ? Heh, I can relate with you on that. That was at one time my ONLY purpose for my wrestling career. Now, I care more about helping others succeed. I've been there and done that, gold wise.
Not saying your ambitions are a bad thing Pryce. Just so long as you know that 'gold' shouldn't be your only goal.
I like people wanting to aspire to be like me. Sure, I'm no saint. I'm not the greatest role model for kids. Never have, probably never will be. But, if I can make a difference in one person's life ? Then my job has been done.
You know, I've never been to England before (laughs). I've been all around the US, Canada, Japan, Mexico. Yet, I've never stepped foot on your home turf.
What is it like over there in your home country ?
