Adam sat backstage as the show was drawing to it's end. Only two matches remained on the card, the main events. Adam's head was taped up from the fresh gash placed on his head by one of the most fearsome men to set foot in a ring, the still National Champion Bryan Jasta. But even in losing the match, Adam was satisfied. He managed to do something that very few have done, go blow for blow with Jasta. It might have been his inexperience in big time matches, or just dumb luck. But Adam knew it wouldn't be his last shot. He takes a sip of his water as someone happens by him and speaks up.

[Kayn]

“You looked good out there man.”

*That someone was the newly crowned Pure champion Kayn. He, just like Adam, was sporting a fashionable head bandage, his however was due to an attack after his match, unlike Adam’s. Kayn saw Adam as he was about to leave the arena, so he decided to chat with him.*

“I was pulling for you in that one. I felt you had a hell of a chance to take Jasta down, but don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll get another crack at the guy.”

*Kayn put his duffel bag on the ground, leaned up against the wall and waited for a reply from Adam.*

[chet]

As Chet Dixon the local jobber appeared there, wearing as always some videogame t-shirt, he saw Kayn and went there with a happy look in his face

Hey there Kayn! I just want to let you know that you have screwed me big time bro

Chet takes out his cellphone and shows Kayn a video, where it appears he, Kristin and Christina's girlfriend in Christina's West Hollywood appartment

Chet: Look Kayn's match is next! Too bad Christina lost again.

Christina's girl: I am sure this is just bad luck, Christina tries her best effort, but I am sorry, she should win

Chet: Yeah I know Christina, she won't like that, anyways now that Kayn's match is next, I don't really think he'll beat Daegon

Kristin: How can you mistrust Kayn? He's your friend and you just whooped Daegon's ass!

Chet: I bet it was dumb luck, that Daegon dude is a big bowl of wrestling talent soup, Kristin. Sorry for Kayn but he ain't my betting horse tonight

Christina's girl: If you are so sure Kayn will lose, why don't you bet something Chet, like your beard

Chet: My beard? Well if Kayn wins, I'll shave my beard! I promise.

Kristin: Don't turn back if Kayn wins, I bet I'll be soon kissing you without getting hair in my lips

Chet: Not that soon Kristin. I am gonna keep my trademark beard, period. The God of beards is with me

The Cellphone video finishes. As Chet looks at Kayn with concern

So as you see I am down and out Kayn I will be a beardless guy from now on

So what are you gonna do that you have the belt dude? Maybe givin' me a title shot Just jokin' Preliminary dudes get no title shots.

But BEARDLESS preliminary dudes should get a title shot don't you think so?

Chet touches his beard nostalgically. As he checks out Adam

Sooooo! What's new guys? I just told you that my beard and I will soon split up

[Kayn]

*Kayn chuckled at Chet, he then patted him on the shoulder.*

“Come on man, you should know better than to bet against your friend. As for my plans, well *Kayn pointed to the bandage on his forehead* first thing I’m going to do is pay Daegon, or Blade, or whatever he’s calling himself now, back for this, then after that I plan on doing whatever I can to revitalize the Pure division here in XWA. Defend this title every chance I get against anyone who challenges me for it, including you if you really want to come after it pal.”

*Kayn smiled as he gave Chet a playful punch in the arm. Kayn waited for either Adam or Chet to reply.*

[chet]

Chet looks at Kayn's bandage

That gotta hurt Kayn, when I saw it at first I thought it was some anti-acne bandage. What a sore loser, if I had to beat every dude that has given me a beating I wouldn't be finished in one day

[Kayn]

“Well, I’ve taken my share of beatings too, but the thing that makes this situation different is the way he attacked me after the match. I can understand being upset about losing, especially in a title match, but Blade’s actions were uncalled for, and that’s one thing I refuse to take lying down.”

*Kayn then pulled out the Pure title from his duffel bag. The belt still had some of his blood on it, which he refused to wipe off.*

“This belt stands for competition, it stands for being the best in a division that has no easy way to win. Pinfall or submission, that’s it. It stands for sportsmanship, and I’m proud to have my name associated with its history, but what Blade pulled was unacceptable, and he needs to be made aware of that.”

*Kayn then waited for a reply.*

[chet]

Chet smiled as he pat Kayn in the back

Kayn bro, it's so great to hear you speak that way, every wrestling fan would shed some tears now of emotion, your speech was so full of pride man. You'll get your hands on Bladder, you should call him that, Bladder, since he gets pissed off so easily

Anyways dude, besides all the pride that the Pure Championship carries, it can also carry some party can't it? eh?

[sumya]

Hey you! I can't go through losers!

Sumya's voice popped from Chet's back

Move!

Sumya made her way pushing Chet as she saw Kayn with the bandage

Good lord! Who has done this to you Kayn!?! Are you ok?!? Let me take a look please.

Sumya somehow manages to see Kayn's bandage closer

Kayn if I was you I'd rip off Daegon's face and whip my butt with it. I hope this tells you that having a golden heart sometimes doesn't work. Poor Kayn, you were cheapshot! But wounds heal Kayn, they really do.

Sumya then kisses Kayn's forehead!

Sumya writes in a piece of paper her number as she leaves the scene

Adam responds with a perplexed look on his face...

Tha' hell was that about?

Adam shrugs and the responds to Kayn's comments.

It might have not been this time, but I'll get that title someday. Someday soon at that. This isn't just one and done. Not a chance. But I'll say this much, to the man who can beat Jasta one on one for that belt, walks the toughest son of a bitch on the planet. I've faced some hard nosed guys before, but even I'll admit that Jasta put the screws to me. But that's why we do what we do. To win. To lose. To become better. I'm gonna take this loss and use it to step my game up even further.[/font]

[Kayn]

*Kayn was about to respond to Chet when Suyma walked in. After she left, Kayn took piece of paper, shook his head and tossed it in the garbage. Kayn then look at Adam.*

“I dunno man, she has some kind of school girl crush on me. Oh well.”

*Kayn shrugged his shoulders then replied to Adam’s next statement.*

“As for Jasta, I’ve never stepped foot in the ring with him, but I’ll agree he seems like a man possessed out there. And you’re right, whoever beats him in a one on one match is a definite force to be reckoned with. Don’t sweat it man, someday that title will be around your waist, and I have a feeling you’ll be the force to be reckoned with if you know what I mean.”

*Kayn gave Adam a reassuring smile that he still had faith in “The Man with No Fear”.*

Sumya however came back to throw her empty energic drink bottle into the bin, she then found her number there, upset she went to see Kayn

Why... why do you do this to me Kayn? I just try to be nice to you and this is how you treat me? I thought you were different, I mean you are just here with the lowest of this roster... No offense Chet. And you are nice to him! Yet you can't be nice to me! What's wrong Kayn? You treat me badly....

[Kayn]

*Kayn raised an eyebrow to Sumya’s questions.*

“Well, let’s see, to start, when a married woman wants to you to meet her in her hotel room, chances are conversation isn’t what’s on her mind. Secondly, the reason I’m cool with Chet is because he’s not pushy. I don’t know how else I can say this, but I have absolutely no interest, and never will have an interest in you in whatever way you think I might or could. I’m sorry if that’s not what you wanted to hear, but it’s the truth, and I’m not the kind of person to lie to someone to make them feel better.”

*Kayn then stood there and waited for Sumya’s reply.*

Sumya's lower lip started to tremble

Kayn right I have flirted a bit with you I admit, but please give me another chance, you see, I am not as bad as other Diamonds want to make me look.

Besides why do you say you will never have interest in me, you don't know me at all, you just know the Sumya that's in the ring.

Sumya then looked at Kayn with a tender sad look in her eyes

*Kayn isn’t the kind of person to hurt someone’s feeling, but sometimes it just had to be done.*

“It has nothing to do with the in-ring you or what anyone else says, all interactions I’ve had with you you’ve been extremely pushy. Besides, you are a married woman, and in my eyes, it’s wrong for you to imagine inviting someone other than your husband to your hotel room. Maybe you should figure out what’s going on in your life before trying to bring someone else into it.”

*Needless to say Kayn didn’t have a warm fuzzy feeling inside, but he said what needed to be said.*

[sumya]

Sumya took out a tissue as she wiped of the tears running down her face

Married you say? Kayn I'll be soon signing my divorce papers. Just to tell you that me and my husband got some problems and this problems brought to adultery and this adultery brought to the situation I have now...

*sniff* as I said I am divorcing soon. I'll be soon a free woman. And a lone free woman.

Just to think that I'll be soon having to take turns to see my kids, it just, it just... Breaks my heart!

Sumya then starts crying on Kayn's arm
