Sayuri has learned a great deal since her last appearance in XWA. (Most notably SUBSTANTIALLY better English) Feeling the "character" Pretty Fighter Sayuri had run "her" course, Sayuri opted to spend the remaining months of the season back in Japan, where she could better focus on what she need to the most, her in ring skill. She possessed the ability to go far, what she lacked however, was the resolve and confidence. Even though her last three matches in XWA were wins, Sayuri felt in order to truly be put in the class of her friends Chloe Lockheart and Ashley Diamond, she needed to shed her mask and return with fervor and passion to the ring.
During her time away, Sayuri found her mental and physical balance. She reached what she set out to attain. With a renewed focus, Sayuri would enter one of XWA's Japanese territories and quick showed that Pretty Fighter Sayuri was long gone. What replaced her was a technically sound, super athletic dynamo that no one saw coming. The Shining Star was born. For the next coming months, the Diamond Original would mount an impressive string of wins, all with the intent to return back to the US strong. With the new season looming in just a few month, Sayuri intends to make her comeback a successful one.
