I've always liked the opening theme to the old, Batman live action series. It was like that defining theme song for Batman. Never can one think of such a superhero and not think of that traditional "Na-na-na-na," tune going through their heads. It's little things like that which makes people remember who, or what something, or someone was. In a sense, I want to be like the old school live-action Batman theme.
I want people to think of the essence of "Lady Lightning" when they think of a ladies division in any wrestling promotion.
You see, I've always wanted to be a great actress, but not just any type of great actress. I never wanted to win a Golden Globe or an Oscar. In my opinion, having a trophy which one can only display on a shelf is rather pointless. What is one to do? Just stare at it all day? I wanted something I could possibly carry with me on certain occasions. Something which had meaning, something that I could look at, and embrace myself with all the memories of those defining moments. No one remembers who won the Oscar for best Actress in a Leading Role from twenty years ago. What people do remember other people for, is how they acted, and how they presented themselves to an awing population.
How they changed something.
The key phrases in a memorable speech.
How they handled problems when a bad situation occurred.
The impact which they, themselves, caused upon something.
I don't necessarily want to become a legend. I just want people to remember me. I don't want to become a faded memory.
When I first ventured into the wrestling world, I was nothing but twelve years of age, fully consumed by the worlds Stan Lee created, amongst other comic book writers and artists. I just found it amazing how people could create these fictional beings, and still allow us to feel emotions for them. I remember turning on the television one night, and seeing the very essence of evil appear on the screen. A person I would later find out to be The Undertaker. He stood in the wrestling ring, and had the crowd completely in his hands. I was in awe in the entire ordeal. When he would go down, people would react. When he would sit up, presumingly rising from the dead, people would go nuts. It was then, that I knew what kind of "actress" I was going to become. I grew addicted to wrestling after those few key moments.
After I graduated high school, I decided not to go to college, and instead, become a part of a professional wrestling school a few towns away. My mom wasn't exactly thrilled at the idea. My dad, well, he was a drunk, and could careless on what I did, and did not do. Upon my mom's disapproval, I went away anyways, because I had a dream, and if someone has a dream, then why not pursue it? Mom would eventually understand, and I love her for that.
Little would I know, that just a few years later, I would be at the XWA, filming my first promo. Am I to be the face which launched a thousand ships, or the Ghost Rider movie which came out a couple months ago in theaters? Only time can determine that.
Anyways, I best get going. It's rather late, and I need my rest if I wish to do some training tomorrow.
Sweet Dreams,
"Lady Lightning" Addison Grey.
EDIT: **Crap, I think I put this in the wrong section. XD; **
