It was a day removed from Aiyanna's arrival to Carmella's door. She was a woman of strong will and indomitable spirit, yes...but in the urban jungle of New York, Carmella was very much afraid of how she'd fair, not just her own safety, but the safety of those who'd probably try to harm or take advantage of her. She allowed Aiyanna a night's rest in her new personal quarters at 1 Penn Plaza, in doing so took time to buy her some sensible clothes, nothing fancy, but not the cloth she had came in. Now, the rode along in the back of a black limo, rolling downtown to the Meatpacking District of Lower Manhattan. Carmella looks on at Aiyanna who was staring out the window, gazing at the hustle and bustle that was New York City.
So, did you rest well Aiyanna?

~/~The city was something Aiyanna wasn't used to. Cars. Tall buildings made of metal and glass. Lots and lots of machines. She just wasn't used to it. But she'd have to get used to it. Yes. She would have to get used to this lifestyle now. She had to leave behind her hunting equipment. Chief Blackheart simply told her she wouldn't need it. The chief had also gotten her "normal" clothing. Again. Something she wasn't used to. Hustle and bustle of the city. She saw not much wilderness in this place, some yes, but not as much as she was used to. Chief Blackheart's voice chimed out. She looked towards her. A faint smile crossing her face as she nodded.~/~
"Yes. I rested well enough." |

Great. I know it must be strange all of this is, but I assure you that you're going to be in good hands. There's someone who I want you to meet, someone who I think might be able to help you get used to what it is you're about to do more than I can. She's...something of a warrior herself you know. I don't think she's every killed anything though...hee hee...at least I don't think so.
Carmella scratches her chin at that notion.
She knows a lot about being on the road too. I think you'll learn a lot from her.
It was about a 20 minute drive, but sure enough they arrived at the front of an old cobblestone building, a fiesty young blonde girl leaning against a wall...it was unmistakably her. They step out of the limo and Carmella walks up to her with an extended hand.

Carmella had a genuine smile on her face. Hayley was chomping on some bubble gum as she shook her hand and then blew a big bubble before she spoke back to her.

She looks over Mel's shoulder and sees the girl she talked to her about, standing there. She was looking around a lot, taking in the surroundings, a bit timid in her stature.

~/~She stared up at the building they approached, looking from top to bottom. Glorious edifice to some. Looking from side to side at the other buildings surronding it. She slowly lowered her head, looking at Hayley. She stepped forward a bit, extending her hand much like the Chief did. She had to get used to greeting people like that it seemed.~/~

Now Hay, Aiyanna is very...and I do mean VERY new to big city living, let alone being on the road like we're going to be throughout the XWA Season. I'm trusting you to show her the ropes. You're the only one I could think of to do this...

Carmella steps back into her limo shutting the door. She opens the window and looks out to the two girls.
Don't get into too much trouble, m'kay?
She winks at them both as the vehicle pulls off.

Hayley waves bye as Carmella's ride pulls off. Just her and the new girl now, and what a girl she was from what she said.
