Kris shakes his head, trying to rid himself of the cobwebs of being dropped off the top turn buckle. He'd heard the result loud an clear from the ring announcer...

Here is your winner, and the NEW Pure Champion, JIMMY AMES!!!

It was a good run, but all champions at one time or another meet a man who for that one night is there better. Seven months ago, it was him defeating a brash and unseasoned Jimmy Ames. But tonight, Jimmy stepped his game up. And in doing so, Jimmy gained the respect of a man who at one point and time referred to as a "Spoiled Brat". There was no shame in losing to Ames on this night. Because Kris knew he wasn't beaten by a loud mouthed kid. He was beaten by a young man who had matured into a fierce competitor. Kris rises to his feet just as the ref had been handed the Pure Championship. He suddenly stops him and takes the title from him...

Buzz: What the hell is Cade doing?

Kris walks over to Jimmy with the title in hand, and extends it forward to him. A show of respect to the man who ended his Pure Championship run. The crowd roars at the uncommon show of sportsmanship...

Jimmy reaches out to accepts the title from Cade. Months ago he'd have ran off at the mouth about how he bested one of XWA's best. But as he looked in the eyes of Cade, he could see the unwavering pride of a modern day warrior. A man who didn't care if he was beaten, so long as he fought to the best of his ability. It brought a smile to Jimmy's face. Jimmy holds the title in front of him for a moment, and then holds it high in the air as the crowd continues to cheer.

Kris smiles as Jimmy celebrates a well earned win. It was his night, and his moment. He nods as Ames pumps his fists in the air in victory, and calmly roles out of the ring. He makes his way back up the walkway with his head held high. Tonight, Jimmy Ames showed him, and probably the rest of the roster that he'd at long last arrived as a bonafide superstar.

Roach: Ya see that Buzz? THAT'S class. That man is a rare breed in this industry. I've gotta tip my cap to Kris Cade.

Buzz: It takes one hell of a man to actually hand over a title belt to the man who just beat you. He may have lost tonight, but there's no doubt that this won't be the last title Cade gets his hands on. Not by a long shot.

As Kris walked back to the locker room, his mind had already switched to the next task at hand. And that man's name was Jonny Punch. But this time around, things would be different. The stage was set. Manchester, UK. XWA Worldwide LIVE. And this time, he didn't have to hold back.
