Count Bodies Like Sheep plays throughout the arena as Velvet makes her way down to the ring. The fans don't boo or cheer for her yet but she makes her way into the ring. Once in the ring she grabs a mic and raises it to her lips.
Last week, I signed on a little bit before the show. Now I've spent my time scouting the competition here and I have to say that I am impressed. I mean you have a great Diamond Champion, Ashley Diamond. You also have the beauty of Amber and Destiny. You have other great divas like, Misaki Yoshida, Stacie Wilson, and others.
So I hope that someone in the back is willing to let me face them in my debut match. Just don't think this will be a squash match because I plan on doing everything I can to capture victory.
Velvet lowers the mic and waits for someone to come down to the ring.

As she finishes her statement, only a few seconds pass before "Hip Don't Lie" by Shakira begins to play.
Roach: Who's this?
BuZZ: Oh yeah...I heard that she was coming to the XWA, baby!!! It's MARISOL MARIPOSA! Hot salsa in the hizzzzzzousssse!!!
Roach: Might as well get used to this folks, Buzz is just hopeless when it comes to the wimmenz.
She steps out to the stage wearing a full denim outfit, jcket and jeans with some high heeled boots, the jacket is opened to show a black baby-T exposing her toned tummy. She smiles and waves and gives fans fives as she makes her way to the ring, the steps inside picking up the mic that was left for her as she entered. The fans begin to cheer "Maaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiii!!!" and she smiles.
¡Hola XWA! You've all heard the rumors of me signing here, and now...you see that these are not rumors, but facts! Now, as I came to the arena here, many many people asked me, "why would you come here?" Indeed a good question. I did get my start in that Toronto based company, and I am more than grateful for the opportunity but...sometimes you just need a change of scenery. When I heard of the XWA opening, I sat and watched, and waited as I saw what it was all about, and I much like you Velvet was impressed.
Finally I decided to make my way to New York and speak with the President, who gave me on offer I couldn't refuse. A chance to be a part of something new. The slogan here is "A New Day Dawns", and to me that is something special. To be a part of something new means to be one of the building blocks of it. That is an exciting thing!
There is competition everywhere in this industry, but something here just feels "pure". I have a feeling of belonging that I've had from the moment I stepped through the door. I belong in this ring, wrestling for these fans in this company. That is why in the not so distant future the XWA will be my new home.
Roach: Wow...that's big.
BuZZ: We gots our share of two feds stars, multi-fed even, looks like Mari ain't gonna be one of 'em...
Now, speaking of competition...you Velvet, come out here and you seek it. Well me...I crave it. I want it so bad that I can taste it! I'm so eager now to show the world what I can do that it's all I think about! I might not be the most experienced woman on the roster, but I can say that I am one of the most passionate. You don't have to look any further for a challenge here, you've found her in Marisol Mariposa!

Then I guess tonight, we'll see who is better. I'm gonna go ahead and guess based on the reaction you got that you are well known for one reason or another. This tends to put me at a slight disadvantage because I've never wrestled anywhere else. I really hope that I don't disappoint your expectations.
But don't mix things up. I love competition. There's no better motivator. No matter what the circumstance I will always be more motivated by someone competing with me than anything else. So with that being said I look forward to the challenge and hope that no matter the result we can still be friends.
Velvet offers her hand out for a handshake and waits for Marisol Mariposa to respond.

We will put on a show for these fans, no ego-tripping. I don't see either of being better, we are all equals here, it's about who rises to the challenge. Whether it's you or it's me...it will be a great match, Velvet.
She accepts her handshake with a smile.
Roach: Well, there's some sportsWOMANship for ya...
BuZZ: Screw that! I wanna see some cat fightin' RAAAAHHHHR!!!
Roach: Hayley and Amber are scheduled to show later, man.

It's always about who rises to the challenge. I'm sure our match is going to be one for the record books. Now I'm sure be could both rise to the challenge as singles competitors and we're probably going to be asked why we don't team up so there's something I want to get out of the way.
I don't want to form any sort of a team at the moment. I want to get to know everyone on the roster a little bit better. Now granted I have no problems being friends I don't want to team up. In fact, there's someone in particular I plan on getting to know about more. But maybe we can meet up outside the ring and explore the area a little more get to know where we are.
Velvet lowers the mic and waits to see if Marisol might want to explore the town later on.

I asked if you wanted to go shopping or something similar before our match? I know I don't have any real in-ring experience but you could at least answer my question. I mean if you don't want to be friends you could just say so.
Velvet lowers the mic and looks extremly hurt. Looks like a couple tears may even roll as she waits hopefully for a response.

Velvet smiles already cheering up but there's something about this smile that isn't right.
Thank you. I thought you were ignoring me because you didn't like me. So what time should we meet up. Can't be too late because we have to get ready for our match against each other too.
Velvet lowers the mic waiting for Marisol to tell her when and where they would meet up to go shopping.

Velvet's all happy just like usual. Apparently she doesn't know the difference between on camera and off camera. But that smile. There's something off about it.
