The Tekken series, a series I've followed since it first came out, has always had some kind of joke character in it. Before it was Roger/Alex (The Kangaroo/Lizard characters). In Tekken 3 it was Mokujin (Who was also the "clone" character in that he could use everyones moves). Tekken 4 saw Mokujin replaced with "Combot". Pretty much the same kind of clone character, but it was a robot instead. And in Tekken 5 Mokujin AND Alex made returns. My guess is that in that ilk, Bob is another "Comedic" style character. He actually looks like he might be a fun character to play as, and I'm guessing he'll probably be gear towards the Tekken Novices as a "starter" guy.

It's been confirmed by Namco that "virtually all the cast of Tekken 5 will be back", meaning Mokujin and Roger (Not Alex, he's the dino) will be back.

I wonder if this dude can even throw a kick. XD Does anybody see Chris Farley (RIP) in this guy? I agree though, he'll probably be a novice/starter type character, not too complex of a fighting style with some comedic elements to him. Certain an original design that's for sure.

Yeah I do get a sense of The Gnarly Farley in this guy ... Can't wait til this comes out though, its nice to know that the guys behind it have a sense of humor though instead of being overly serious with all of their characters. I remember the first time I played Tekken was in my grandparent's basement on my uncle's PSX (before everyone thinks its weird that my uncle lived with my grandparent's back then, he's only like 22 so back then he would have been ... 13 maybe. So he's not some Thr33x look-a-like living with his parents  .. ). But yeah, I always played as the dude with the huge tall hair. Completely forgetting his name right now but yeah ... Ken or something like that. |
