There will be eight "Superstar Fighting Styles" in WWE SmackDown! vs. RAW 2008: ECW Invasion. The next wrestling game for the consoles: PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, XBox 360, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS.
The eight Superstar Fighting Styles differentiate superstars and CAWs from one another. These styles offer specific strategies and abilities that other wrestlers and styles won't have. The styles will work in different ways, so it'll be up to the players to learn how to use them in each match type because several moves will vary depending on the match.
These styles will vary on weight classes. Example: anyone over the heavyweight limit will not be able to be a high flyer. Each superstar and CAW will have two styles. A primary one and a secondary one. You will only have a special move1 for your primary style.

- Brawler: Will be proficient in stricking with special moves related to stricking.
- Dirty: Proficient to dirty tactics such as hiding behind the referee, throwing the referee into your opponent, and able to use the deadly Con-Chair-To.
- Hardcore: Able to use special abilities with weapons and proficient in Non-DQ match types. They will be able to use eviromental moves that no other styles can.
- High Flyer: Will have more aerial moves than the other styles. They will have the ability to launch themselves over areas that others can't. Four confirmed moves exclusive to this style are the Corkscrew Plancha, Asai Moonsault, West Coast Pop/619, and Sabu2's Springboard Side Kick.
- Powerhouse: If a powerhouse (primary) stores a special, they'll be able to use it to kick out of pins. The ring will be their personal weapon. They'll be able to powerbomb opponents onto the steel steps and other moves.
- Showman: A cocky and arrogant wrestler, they taunt and get the crowd into the match more. They lower their opponents momentum at the same time.
- Submission Artist: Will be proficient in submissions.
- Technician: Will be proficient in reversals and technique moves. They will be able to reverse moves that other styles can't.
